Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

They used to have a number of series provided by FilmRise, some of which have disappeared before we finished the series... Like "Grounded For Life"

I know for a fact that Prime Video Canada won't have some of those shows as Cheers and X-Files are in another Streaming service here.

I need to search for the following:
  • Magnum P.I.
  • Taxi
  • Family Ties
  • Wings
  • Perry Mason
  • The Prisoner
Not sure if this covers other regions but someone mentioned justwatch.com, and that's basically the only way I can keep track of what's on Amazon Prime. and what's added.

These older shows aren’t in HD, are they?

I think a lot of them dropped earlier this year. If anyone is interested you can search here: https://instantwatcher.com/a
They track when it dropped.
Either filter your results by Prime, or be sure to click on the ones labeled as Prime and not $ (purchase).
You have to click on the title and scroll down to see the date.

It also tells you if it's HD.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

It's ashame that these bigger streaming services don't make it easier too access their large libraries especially the older stuff which would be of interest too me and many others. Instead they only pretend to have the newer stuff(which I have little interest unless I am watching a current season).

Anyone else having trouble streaming Prime programming? All of my saved Prime titles are no longer available without paying.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

I unplugged and re-plugged my Roku device and that did the trick. Thanks to those who responded.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Try unplugging then re-plugging your device (perhaps Roku) and see what happens...

Did anybody else buy Season 1 of Mystic Britain? I did (for $2.99 woo hoo) and I'm only getting episode 2. Episode 1 is missing.

I feel like that's a distribution error, like maybe Amazon has it on Prime in some markets?

Here's an explanation of why those Netflix movies appeared on Prime: https://decider.com/2019/10/22/in-th...-amazon-prime/

The film was almost certainly uploaded via Prime Video Direct, a function that allows content creators to upload their projects directly to Prime Video, giving them access to a wide platform of people. It’s much like the way YouTube allows anyone to upload videos to its platforms. However, like YouTube, you’re obviously not supposed to upload copyrighted material. Before adding any videos, uploaders must first accept the license agreement, which states that, “You hereby represent and warrant that (i) you have the sole, full and unencumbered right to grant to Amazon and its Affiliates, and have obtained all necessary clearances and releases to grant to Amazon and its Affiliates,” and a bunch of other legal jargon that essentially boils down to “don’t upload copyrighted material.”

But, apparently, Amazon hasn’t yet caught on that In the Tall Grass is indeed copyrighted material. The user who uploaded the video listed their name as “Laysla De Oliveira,” which is the name of the lead actor in the movie. (We highly doubt Oliveira did this, of course.) The user also made some fake art for the thumbnail of the video, and copy and pasted the official logline from IMDB.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

I didn't realize creators could upload their own material? I mean, I see some of the youtube-like crap that Amazon has up there but I still thought it was vetted.

Re: The Amazon Prime Streaming Thread

Sarah Connor Chronicles Seasons 1&2 are available on PRIME in HD for $9.99 each. I think they're $50 each on VUDU, which is insane. You can also watch them for free with ads via IMDB TV.

I got them on VUDU for $5 each in a TV Season Sale pretty recently.

I got season 1 for that price but for whatever reason I did not get season 2 for that price, though. I had a $2 digital credit with Amazon, so I just got season 2 for $7.99, which is fine by me.
