I am reasonably confident that that's what I read - and wrote down in two places (deal valid until 12/27) - but I can't find it now either. Maybe I dreamed it..

Re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes
Did anyone take advantage of this offer and have it go smoothly? It's been an adventure for me.
Bought 2 movie tickets on Fandango on November 24th, the first day of this special offer regarding bonus codes. I signed up for FanClub to avoid the fees and was enrolled with the 7 day free trial. I was then charged the monthly $9.99 on December 1st.
10-14 days later and I realized I never received the bonus codes via e-mail or anyehwere. When I log into FanClub, I see the $10 code which is part of the monthly service.
I originally couldn't find a phone number to call, so late one evening I submitted an inquiry through the "contact us for help" link on the website. As soon as I submitted, I saw a chat feature so I attempted to utilize that for more immediate help.
The first associate put me on hold multiple times while they researched it, probably for about 10 minutes each time. Despite me explaining that I had monitored my e-mail and junk folder repeatedly, I was told it was likely in my junk folder. I pulled up my junk folder, scanned back over the last week or so and see nothing. Go back to the chat after being "away" for 2 minutes and they've disconnected it.
I entered the chat again--this time a different associate puts me on hold...while on hold, I get an email saying your membership has been cancelled! I quickly type in the chat that I didn't want that. I was then disconnected again!
I requested a chat for the 3rd time and told no associates were available!
The next morning I have an e-mail asking me to call them. Did so and talked to a kind woman who apologized for all the trouble. She indicated it wasn't cancelled. She requested screenshots of the charge on my credit card. I agree to do so, though it seems strange. They should clearly say I paid and was charged. After hanging up, I sent as a reply to the e-mal with the requested info.
A day later, another e-mail asking me to call. This time, I did so and a person told me that she couldn't see any reason why I didn't get the codes. But that it would take 3 days to review.
I'm still waiting with no sign of resolution yet.

After 10 days of nothing, I got in the customer service chat again and around the same time, I got the "escalated" email arguing the same above. I responded directly to their email and sent them the screenshot of the promo. They argued again and I told them they need to read their own promo. They responded back that they were indeed reading it incorrectly and gave me a $10 credit on the regular Fandango website since I used the other $10 credit at the Fandango At Home site.
Read your own promos, Fandango! Jeez. A lot of trouble for the extra 10 bucks. I would have done better if I had waited and gotten the two free tickets for signing up that they were having recently. Whatever.

I got the deal with two free rentals a couple weeks ago but the codes errored out. I should try again, I guess.
Third week, and they’ve added some titles but no Samurai bundle. I think it may not happen.

Vudu/Fandango at Home's customer support has always been terrible in my opinion. They take forever to respond and are at time clueless.

I called yesterday and spoke to someone else. It was frustrating from the start -- there was a lot of background noise (call center type sounds) and the lady had a little bit of an accent.
She said she would escalate things and I would hear back in 3+ days. I told her that's what I was told 2 weeks ago and she said it was not escalated then.
They frequently apologize for all the trouble and time it's taken me--the lady yesterday said she could see that I had reached out to them several times. I intend to keep pushing hard for $20 in codes and once they deliver (big assumption, right?), I hope to get someone who might toss something else my way for all hoops I've had to jump through.

I received an e-mail yesterday with just a short reply:
Thank you for reaching out to Fandango Customer Service.
Please be advised that the promo codes were for a limited-time offer.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Called again this morning--30 minute chat with another gentleman that was hard to understand.
He said he was now escalating this to the highest level!

Another 3-5 day wait. But, hey, he gave me a new ticket/case number. So I didn't come away from this empty-handed.

This has convinced me to not deal with any codes with them. I just either watch the free movies or buy from their $5 deals section. What a cluster their customer service is...and other businesses.

Just any FYI for those that did sign up for the Fandango Fanclub: it appears that they do not email you the monthly $10 off coupon code for use at either Fandango or FAH.
You have to go in on their site under the Fanclub section of the "My Account" section and it is posted in there. I assumed it would be emailed like the one last month but that does not appear so. I hadn't gotten any notice about it so far this month, I checked there and saw it posted. It says it expires Feb 4th. I haven't tried it yet to confirm it actually works. That may be a whole other headache.

HAs anyone tried splitting up the monthly code for two different purchases? Say you buy a $5 movie and have 5 bucks left over from the code, have you tried using the remaining 5 bucks on a ticket or another movie in a separate purchase before the code expires?

Re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes
I already have the Poppins movies, but I got the other two combos. I actually like the Lilly James movie and have it on BD but figured I'd get it digitally someday. Maleficent isn't the worst live-action remake, but I think I stopped watching them after Lion King. And I have the classics on BD, but apparently they didn't have digital copies so I didn't have them digitally, and I'm not on D+, so this was a good deal. I particularly have a soft spot for Sleeping Beauty, as young me thought the art design was cool, as well as the action at the end.

Many apologies were offered. She acknowledged all the attempts I've made to call/e-mail in an effort to resolve. And she explained she couldn't issue the codes, only the escalation team could.
Another day, another case number given. More assurances that they would follow-up. This has been quite the adventure!

My God, all that hassle because you got screwed out of a promo. I admire your persistence. I would have probably given up awhile ago and thought it wasn’t worth pursuing it any longer.

It's a miracle!
I'd love to hear them explain why this was so hard, but I have no desire to call them again.
Hope these credits work like they say.
We sincerely apologize that you have not received your two bonus codes for the black Friday promotion that was offered during the time that you joined. The two bonus codes offered were for $10 towards Fandango at Home and $10 towards Fandango so we have added $10 to each of those accounts to replace those missing promo codes. The credit added will apply automatically towards your next purchase and it does not expire, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Thank you for contacting Fandango Customer Service.

Just wanted to let people know that I gave this a shot last night and if you are buying anything under $10 with your 10-buck code, that extra money will be lost. It will also not let you buy several movies at once to utilize the full 10 dollars unless they are in a bundle sale.

Thanks for that update! I had been curious myself but felt like it wouldn't work and fearful to lose the credit.
I have a similar situation now that my Fandango issues seem to be resolved. I had a $5 code from Xfinity expiring next week. I figured I'd use it for a Tuesday $6 film and pay the buck out of pocket. Now that last e-mail says my $10 credit will apply automatically on my next theater purchase, so it wouldn't surprise me if it works the same way. It will apply to my small amount and I'll lose the full value.
