Totally unrelated, but something occurred to me this morning. Vudu gives out codes pretty freely and there's no buzz at all for their Mr. Mom show. Why don't they offer a $2 credit for watching, say, two to four episodes? It might get a few people hooked, some to chatter about it online, and probably most importantly an artificial boost to their viewership numbers to woo future creators/talent/advertisers/whatever. Seems like a no brainer idea. Unless they know the show is a stinker and want to keep it buried.

True that. I have a small vudu collection currently, and actually don’t really mind if it disappears. It is a good trick for a company to program you to buy stuff that has no guarantee that it might not disappear in a couple years.

Good to know! Thanks!

There's a digital copy code for all 3 movies in 4K. I've seen it going for around $15-$20.

No, Firestick does not support Vudu. And since Friends isn’t an MA title, it won’t port anywhere else. You have to watch it on Vudu only.

^^ Vudu is not native in the Firestick App Store, but it can be easily installed and works fine.

Damn. I already went ahead and bought Shaun for $5. I've only looked on ebay and the bundle is going for twice that there. I'd be willing to suck it up and buy the bundle for $15. What other places should I check?

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

found that my tivo has a vudu app and it works fine on that... bought this (friends bundle) primarily for my daughters so they can watch on the laptops/ipads, so that should be fine. I did google the vudu install on the firestick, so looks like it can be done with the downloader app. gonna save it for a stocking stuffer for them, they will be very happy to have access to this show once it leaves netflix.

Doesn’t answer my question. And if it’s illegal or pseudo-illegal, I’m not interested. Besides, I hate the entire Amazon interface. Roku pretty much beats it in every way.

I don’t have a fire stick but I have a kindle fire and assume it’s the similar process to side loading an app on there. Here’s the first url I found searching for it:

I don't buy digital codes on eBay. They're overpriced. Here's the main sites I use right now.

I grabbed the Friends deal as well, even though I’m a current HBO subscriber and will consider Max. I’ve been waiting for a deal on the series.

Me too...almost didn't pull the trigger, since it's not a hard show to find on one app or the other, but glad I did since they already jacked the price up to $59.99 for the whole series (and the individual seasons as well).

Thanks. Last night I noticed that the new 4K transfer of Alien is on sale at FandangoNow for $9 and thought that was a good price. However this morning I figured I'd check our trading subforum before I pulled the trigger and someone was selling their code for $5.50. I went ahead and nabbed that sucker. Quick and easy process. (Thanks, too much!) I'll be utilizing that more in the future. Tonight I'll register at/check out the other two spots you mentioned.

I bought one of the eligible titles over the weekend and was hoping to use the voucher tonight since it's cheap movie day at my favorite theater, but it still hasn't arrived. Bummer. Guess I'll be waiting another week to see Rambo.

I have all the DVDs too in that box set with the case and everything. Such a hassle to burn them all to disk or go hunt and find an episode, so I went ahead and bought digital for convenience. I must be getting old.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Right there with you! Apparently I'll pay 5 dollars per movie, typically, to not have to get off my couch and spend a few minutes flipping through disks. (That's a laziness rate of 60 dollars an hour!)

Same deal here. And I do this a lot with older stuff (even some Blu-rays that never came with a digital code).

Also check out 4KSheet.com It's a full list of all 4K Codes. And where they redeem.

You have to be careful buying 4K codes. Sometimes they only redeem HD. Sometimes they don't work at certain sites. I always check 4KSheet before buying any 4K code.

Thanks for confirming that...I already did it earlier today because the timing made sense (Last Wednesday of the month), just nice to know my time wasn't completely wasted, lol.
