Re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

I haven't noticed that but I'm also not that diligent about comparing.
By "old" do you mean "obtained by you a long time ago"?
My oldest title was obtained in 2014 so I'm just now starting to hit that 10 year mark (scary!) My first title actually purchased was in 2018.
Do the titles still show up in your purchase history? I think redeemed titles show up there as well, just with a cost of 0.00.
There's a free Chrome extension called "Fandango at Home Catalog" (used to be called Vudu Catalog) which will output the current inventory of your library in a csv file (I think). It works for both Movies and TV. Good to run every month or so depending on how much you buy.
Technically, yes, they could yank anything at any time, and maybe the studio/distributor agreements with FAH may change.
Current license agreement includes: "a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-commercial, limited license to access, use and/or view the Content"

My first purchase is Horton Hears a Who! in Feb 2010.

Re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

From what I can see, the first digital code I activated on Vudu is still there, and the first Disc-to-Digital titles I did are still there.

Purchase history does show digital codes, but doesn't look to include D2D purchases:.
https://athome.fandango.com/content/...urchasehistory

Also, looking in My Library and sorting by "Recently Purchased" does not seem accurate. Some of the first things I got are in the middle of the list. I'm guessing that when the Vudu library was imported, it wasn't necessarily in purchase order.

Re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

Fandango fucked me again on another bundle.

The other day son wants to watch Blade Runner. I look it up and The Final Cut also has a bundle that they directed me to. It shows every movie in the bundle as being 4K and does not say HDX on the bundle. Lesson learned from before, I made sure it said HDX nowhere on the bundle. I buy the bundle, and it only gives me the HDX versions. I end up renting the 4K version instead and watching it.I contact customer service and after being asked to provide every shred of information you can possibly think of that they already have at their fingertips, I get a refund after I accuse them of bait & switch. I didn't just jump to that but after 15 minutes of jumping through hoops for a mistake on their app, I was getting tired of the runaround.

Even when the bundle was clearly marked 4K on the app on my TV. I went to it on my computer just now and it shows the bundle marked as HDX which it definitely did not show the other day as I would not have bought it due to my recent experience. But when you click on every movie in that "HDX" bundle, it shows BR2049 and The Final Cut as both being 4K and the theatrical cut as HDX...which showed as 4K the other day and also showed the bundle as being 4K.

I don't want to have to take photos for proof and jump through hoops every time I decide to purchase something on their app.

One thing to keep in mind. If they pull it, because they can't sell it anymore due to licensing or whatever, you can't search for it on Fandango.
But, you can go into your library. Sort or filter and scroll through to find it. Then you can play it

I remember redeeming codes off free DVDs like The Box (2009) and Ramona and Beezus (2010), and they’re still in my library.

Not sure I'll ever watch the Maze Runner movies again, but couldn't resist that price.

No, but I'd noticed that being patchy years ago..

Right, but a) I still 'own' things that are now unavailable (for others) to buy, and b) I'm talking about titles that are definitely still available.

It's just odd.

I missed out on this when it was a DOTD at $19.99 (regularly $24.99) but today it dropped to $9.99. Score!

Good prices on bundles. Those Paramount by-decade 10-packs that are always $20 are now $10. The Lionsgate 50-pack is $25. But I still own too many of the singles to make it worthwhile.

I picked up a couple of the decade bundles, even though I already had some of the movies, because at this price it is worth it. Like in one of the bundles I already had six of the ten movies, but at $10 for the remaining four, it's still a good deal.

I see they have both Kill Bills in 4k for $5. Not bad considering the discs sold out. May get these instead of waiting on a possible restock.

Anyone here a member of the paid Fandango Fanclub?

I have just been dipping my toe in the digital realm with various cheap 4K releases and this seems like a pretty good deal. Anyone here a member? Seems like it pays for itself.

I posted about it in the Theater deals. For several months, they gave me $10 off digital in addition to the $10 for theater. Now you have the choice.
If you use Fandango for your tickets, the ticket fee savings pays for itself too.
Not positive, but the annual deal might be new. I don't remember seeing it.

Re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

Since I have AMC Stubs A-List and Cinemark Movie Club, I don't really need the Fandango program as well (except for the Wake Up Dead Man showing at another theater chain only -- I used the free 7 day trial for that). But if you can use the $10 credit at VUDU, then maybe it's worth subscribing...

I don't know if anyone else here is a big fan like I am, but I had put a watch on a title that Vudu did not even have available for purchase, then it showed up a month or so ago at $14.99, then went on sale yesterday for $6.99 so I picked it up.

Re: The Fandango at Home (Vudu) Thread - News, Bargains & Codes

lol I just got Sinners and War of the Rohirrim in the Apple $4.99 sale, and today Vudu has them in a 5 for $15 UHD sale. Not sure there's five others I want of the 40 titles.

Lionsgate also has a 5 for $15 comedy HD sale, but it's all old stuff, and only 25 to choose from.

I've been checking it out the free movies. Just watched The Fablemans, watched Ex Machina the other day. Watching Amy (the A24 doc) right now. Ads are bad but I just jump on my phone.
