I can limit it to "Kids & Family" movies but lots of what I would consider family movies like Detective Pikachu, Ratchet & Clank and Missing Link get removed with that filter.
The Roku app has a new Kids Mode. Go to My Vudu and you'll see an option for Kids. You can set the age limit.

Also on the Roku app you can sort by Age Rating. Go to My Vudu > My Movies. In the Filters there's an option at the bottom for Age Rating (<5, <8, <10, <13, <18).

I’ve never seen Halloween with a digital code. My 4K disc I bought last year didn’t come with one either.

Thanks. Bummer. I'm steering away from accumulating more physical media - mostly for space reasons - and I wish this was an MA title. While extras are nice (and MA does a much better job than Vudu in actually having them), I've come to terms that almost all of them are one and done watches, many of which aren't all that substantial to begin with. Is it safe to assume Vudu's HDX is the same master used for the most recent Blu?

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

I usually used VUDU for the free movies. Recently, I got a $20 credit so I started looking at rentals for movies I missed in the theater. Saw a good number of them were listed for .49¢. Is a sale going on or is this the normal rental price now? I thought rentals were .99¢.

Maybe SD for $.49, HDX for $.99?

I think that must be a glitch or a great sale. Rentals are normally like $4-5.

I think you get a discount if you've never rented anything thru VUDU before. I rented a movie for the first time the other day (Happy Death Day 2U) and it was just 99 cents. Nearly every other movie was showing up for 99 cents too. Everything is at least $4 now.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

The movie I rented, The Dead Don't Die, was UHD and it was .49 cents. Maybe it was on sale or priced low because it was my first rental.

I could've sworn I saw others at .49 cents. Now looks like regular prices. I'll show myself out the door.

I signed out of my Vudu account and this promo popped up. Sounds like that’s the offer you got.

First-time rentals used to be FREE years ago.

Haven't gotten the self-censorship thing on any of my devices yet but will be amused to see how it works. I tested out Vidangel for free with Superbad, telling it to take out everything that it had the option of.

Thanks! Mystery positively solved. I wasn't a new user but it was my first rental.

Hell, why not? The 4K disc is never going to get that low. One thing I hate about Vudu is they are so inconsistent with movies that get extras. Vudu doesn't have extras for this, but MA and Apple TV has it.
I did a blind buy on this deal. I know it got bad reviews, but I watched it last night and liked it well enough to be happy with my purchase. I bought the Godzilla/Kong:Skull Island deal for $14.99 several months back, too. Love monster movies.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

A bunch of action flicks are on sale, which also qualify for $5 towards a ticket to the new Rambo movie: https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/...ket-Offer/2027

Rant: I would be all in on the Rambo bundle except the highest resolution it's available in is HDX despite each title being offered in UHD individually. I see this with Vudu a lot. Someone on Vudu's forums asked why it was that way for the Cornetto Trilogy (another bundle I would totally get) and the official response was that the studio wouldn't allow a UHD bundle. So good job... instead of getting some of my money, they're getting none of it.

I checked this out, and Season 1 is SD only at $3.99, and Season 6 isn't available.

oh, I see now that Season 6 is just the 4 movies sold separately.

Yeah, I don't usually spend more than $10 at a time on VUDU but 10 seasons of Friends for $45 is a pretty sweet deal to own it "Forever" while the streaming services battle it out for the rights.

I’ll play the part of Oldboy and ask: can you not download things purchased on vudu? Thereby coming closet to actually owning it forever?

Could you? Yes. But downloading 236 episodes of TV would require a lot of space and data and manual labor.

I think playing a downloaded file requires the Vudu software. It's not a standard video file that can play anywhere. If Vudu ever shuts down, I don't know how long the software will continue to work.
