The sub account option and price sounds reasonable to me.

Here is what I want; two streams, 4K, $15
Is that too much to ask?

Well now you can find someone that wants one stream 4k who's willing to pay 10 bucks and split the 20+5 fee (if that's the price once it's implemented). Don't even have to password share.

Yes they own the series. In all likelihood this will probably move to Hulu.

Jay Harrington and Kenny Johnson from SWAT announced that past seasons of SWAT will be airing on Netflix starting in May. Hulu quit posting seasons after season 3.

Doesn't Paramount+ have them?

I see this is a Sony show, but also co-produced with CBS. Weird Paramount would let it go to a competitor if it is gone off Paramount+.

Paramount plus only has the rights to the current season.

I never had a reason to check for older episodes since we basically watch it when a new one pops up. I never looked for older seasons.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

Looks like it will cost $7.99/month for each additional person to use password on the account outside of the household. Looks like can trim down the moochers!

It'll be interesting to see how they roll that out and how they determine what the home base is, and streaming from my tablet at the gym, then figure out how they handle kids away from home at college. I have a T-mobile paid plan right now, so there is another wrinkle there too

I already know a couple of people that have had their sharing revoked unless they pay up. Whatever Netflix is using, it's doing the job.

I believe you can stream away from home on tablet/mobile/laptop as long as you "check in" at your home wifi. If you want to watch on something like someone else's TV you'll need a pass or whatever, which is going to cut down on the college/parent/significant other sharing in a second household. So yeah, basically college student has to pony up 8 bucks.

but, can a family member login as me? Or can’t login two different locations?

Did you read the link?

We use information such as IP addresses, device IDs, and account activity to determine whether a device signed into your account is part of your Netflix Household.

We do not collect GPS data to try to determine the precise physical location of your devices.

If a Netflix Household hasn’t been set, we will automatically set one for you based on IP address, device IDs, and account activity.

You can always update your Netflix Household from a TV by connecting to your internet and following the steps above.
Mom and Dad’s Roku or Smart TV won’t work because they don’t have your home IP address or device ID. Unless you want to pay extra.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

T-mobile bought Sprint and we still get HULU grandfathered in from our Sprint association. We lost PRIME via Sprint when T-mobile took over. ...Sigh, that hurt.

Anyway, T-Mobile is offering the Netflix $15 plan for free as a perk. We are currently paying the $9 plan. But Netflix isn't used as much as other streamer services in our home. I guess switching to "free" is a obvious choice...

I'm very biased but that One PIece preview doesn't look half bad?

Though it's still not half as wacky as that Archies in the 60s but filmed in India project

I think it's decent. It won't be for everyone.

It's still an uphill battle for the series. Anime/manga live-action adaptions are typically not received well (like the Cowboy Bebop live-action series).

This is also 8 episodes rather than the initial reported 10 episodes.

Yeah if that preview encompasses just the first 8 episodes then they are speedrunning through getting the crew together, but hopefully it gains some traction (and also that the international views help it since it's a much bigger property elsewhere)

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

Netflix Eyeing Paramount?

According to the article Netflix might be in the market for a studio and Paramount might be it.
If so, this would be pretty bad for anyone who still buys physical media.
