Re: Is Satellite Radio Doomed if Howard Stern retires?

Personally, we pay for Sirius/XM in my wife's car for music. Mainstream radio plays the same old BS constantly, and if it's new it's boring. I haven't listened to Stern for years on Sirius, and in my...

Re: The VINYL Thread!

I got my wife the new Sleater-Kinney - No Cities to Love as a sort of Easter gift last week. She got me a vinyl of John Carpenter's Lost Themes.

I just ordered and am waiting on an order from...

Re: Vintage Video Games You Would Like To See Make A Comeback?

Somehow I missed this one, I freaking loved Blast Corps and Wave Race. It's amazing the titles Nintendo let's slip by without a mention like F-Zero (since Gamecube), StarTropics, etc. There is so...

Re: Vintage Video Games You Would Like To See Make A Comeback?

I remember that game being extremely difficult, loved when he showed up in Bad Dudes as a villain.

Re: Vintage Video Games You Would Like To See Make A Comeback?

Is Adventure Island the one with the kid and the skateboard? I remember that, I seem to always get it mixed up with Amagon.

Re: Vintage Video Games You Would Like To See Make A Comeback?

I remember borrowing it repeatedly from a friend in the 80's. When I started collecting old NES games in the late 90's it was the first one I bought. I loved that game. I'm surprised you don't hear...

Re: Vintage Video Games You Would Like To See Make A Comeback?

I forgot about Zombies Ate My Neighbors, I picked that up on discount at a Kay Bee Toys for $5, that game was so much fun, although I never could be the Tremors level (around level 20).

Also,...

Re: Vintage Video Games You Would Like To See Make A Comeback?

I would love a new Road Rash, I haven't played the other 3, but I almost bought a Saturn just to play Panzer Dragoon last year.

Vintage Video Games You Would Like To See Make A Comeback?

I have for years have wanted Rare whether it's a downloadable game or a full on physical release to make a new R.C. Pro Am. I still pull my original cartridge out from time to time and still have a...

Re: Games that are timeless?

I know SMB 2 was just a re-skinned Doki Doki Panic, but does anyone actually dislike that game? I've always loved it. It's one of, if not my favorite Mario.

Beyond that

SMB 1-3
Contra...

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

I thought Sonic Colors was pretty damn good, but that was the exception.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

I have a 13 year old daughter that requested a more violent type of video game a few months ago, I have no qualms about this. She mentioned CoD, and while once again no problems there, I'd rather...

Re: The One & Only DOCTOR WHO DVD Thread (8th Incarnation)

Not alot of information is known about Shada at the moment, all that I have heard is that Ian Levine's personally produced animation for Shada has been turned down by Dan Hall and 2|E.

I haven't...

Re: Giallo Recommendations Please

No Giallo discussion these days can be truly complete without a check over to Doomed Moviethon. This guy has pretty much had himself an authority on obsessive Giallo viewing, and has written 5...

Re: The One & Only DOCTOR WHO DVD Thread (8th Incarnation)

Shada was sort of "finished" in the 90's with Tom Baker serving as a narrator in between clips of edited together footage.

Also, Paul McGann did it as an audio in the 90's.

Re: Ever quit a game right at the end?

Yes, Ninja Gaiden 2 for the 360. I made it to the final boss, but all my potions were not enough to get though it. I beat the wizard guy, but couldn't get that monster with the eye (or whatever it...

Re: The One & Only DOCTOR WHO DVD Thread (8th Incarnation)

I personally thought Seeds of Doom was an excellent Six Parter, the Antarctic segment felt more like a prelude for the rest, and the pace I thought was excellent. Most six-parters feel too long,...

Re: Iron Maiden: Album by Album

I did not like this album, it was decent, but it was much too far in the prog direction, and didn't have the rocking vibe of prior albums. Also, while I'm fine with a band not doing verse, chorus,...

Re: Iron Maiden: Album by Album

I'm a little late to this one, so I'm going to play a little catch up here.

Real Live Dead One - I own them as I am a Maiden completist, but hate the sound quality and performances on both.

Re: Iron Maiden: Album by Album

I try to listen to this one every few years, I think the first 3 tracks are phenomenal, I think the rest is filler garbage.

Move on to the X-Factor, I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I...
