Just ordered a copy of BM, version I got looks like a French Region 2 and has "Version Dure" on the front. Is this the uncut version? Cover has two red faces on black background with white border.

I keep forgetting to check when I'm home. It just seems suspect that I got two bad disks in a row. Either they just got a bad load of blanks and have poor QC, or it's a scam operation!

Why is there so much talk of Region 2 versions being better than Region 1? Is it only in certain instances, or are most Region 1 transfers being done poorly?

Try ziplocks filled with sand on top of your DVD...

Try ziplocks filled with sand on top of your DVD player to see if that helps any vibration. This trick is used by audiphiles on their CD players.
