Re: Movies you've tried to like?

the first time I saw the EE edition LOTR I thought they were interesting, however any subsequent viewings have bored me to tears. while the EE editions might bring the films closer to the source...

Re: TERMINATOR: Salvation (aka T4)

Rewatched this last night (hadn't seen the DC before)

Re: Movies You Like, But Won't Defend

Enemy at the gates. I love the Stalingrad/sniper theme, and the film being from the russians perspective was somewhat unique for a ww2 movie(if a bit ruined by the english accents)

Re: What changes would you make to a movie?

I'd remove the horrible love triangle from Enemy at the Gates and give Ron Pearlman more scenes.

Re: Recommended Films For Toddlers?

Agreed about Totoro and Kiki, also I think Ponyo is worth mentioning. I prefer hayao Miyazaki's 'heavier' animes as Ponyo is geared for younger kid, but the beauitful animation in Ponyo and the cute...

Re: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Sequel to begin production in May (2014?)

I was 13 when it came out and I wanted to watch it mainly for the fight scenes, which were impressive. A few years later I watched the movie again and the story and the characters really grew on me....

Re: What's the Big Deal with Wes Anderson

I wasn't too thrilled at a few of his films, quirky just for quirkys sake. Darjeeling Limited, which felt kind of like a long music video compiling all of Wes Anderson's favorite songs while the...

Re: Remakes That You Thought Were Better Than The Original

Ringu is a much scarier and a far more unsettling movie. The way it goes about building suspense is expertly reserved and effective.
The Ring on the other hand overcooks the special effects and...
