What is the chance that some of these new releases will come out in a few months with an extended edition? Star Trek Beyond, Deadpool, Batman v Superman, ...? I've been burned a few times so now...

Just watched Gone Girl blu be gone and full wait list in seconds--like 3 seconds. Still can grab for $6 at Target. Whew!

I agree the price is still a lot, but LOTR has been discounted for 3 years to get to this low price. Not sure I want to wait that long, but then, I haven't watched the last two after a bad...

Hmmm. This is the least interesting year for Amazon black friday blu-ray. The two titles I would consider are standard def. I'm glad to know what's (not) going to be really cheap this year in...

Alas, they've raised the price of LOTR extended blu-ray to $56.99. I missed it at $49.99 as I thought I had until tomorrow to seal the deal. Still $49.99 at WB so i guess I'll have to shop there.

Good point! My doctor likes to remind me that every day I'm just that much closer to death.

It might be $10 or $15 cheaper next year, but then my eyes will be that much weaker and my tv that much...

I was just flipping back and forth, looking for a deal on these two titles for the last few weeks. At some point this afternoon, the prices just dropped by 50% at both Amazon and Deep Discount.

And the Amazon deal for the extended blu (24.99) does qualify for the standard free shipping. They're not making us find something for $0.01 to bring the total up to $25.

I used the $5 coupon yesterday at Target to buy Star Trek XI blu. It rang up at $19.99 then I used the coupon to spend a bit over $16 with tax.
