Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...cId=1000452571

Amazon posted their deals for the week beginning November 22.

The list is up the prices are available only for Monday November 22.

Other than the Lost Complete set in blu and Back To The Future in blu I am not too excited about what is available.

Don't know what the prices will be but hopefully they will be good.

Disappointed Alien Anthology in blu , Sound of Music, King Kong (1933), Mutiny On The Bounty (1935 ), Maltese Falcon, and Treasure of the Sierra Madre all in blu are not included.

Not many recently releases are included. Was surprised that several full screen discs are being offered.

Last year i was able to the Beatles complete stereo set for $100 a few months after it was released.
Alien Anthology Blu-ray isn't included, but it is their Blu-ray Box Set of the Week next week apparently. I think the price is like $70.99 maybe?

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Not as good as last year's selection. I'm still hopeful of general price reductions, though. I bought an entire year's worth of TV seasons last year.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

nice to see they've released a list. did they do that last year?

from the looks of it though, not much for me to bite on. i also find it weird that every year, it seems to be the same titles on sale (friends/sex and the city/smallville, etc.) and i always wonder, at this point it seems like EVERYONE that wanted to would have taken advantage and purchased those. just so redundant to have them every year

Depending on price, the ONLY possibilities for me would be the Runaways & Criterion Dazed & Confused; & only if they're basically giving them away. Big Lots has spoiled me.

Anyone know of a similar link for music cd's?

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Last year they released a chart for the entire week. It looks like there will be more potential deals per day this year, but who knows how many days in advance they'll release the next day's list of deals.

I thought about that when I saw the BF ad for Target. Same titles every year. It wasn't so much it was that much worse than last year (except for BR's). It was just the same stuff again.

I think there are a few BR titles I might bite on, but I suspect they are going to be at Wal-Mart and I'll get them there.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

I'm in for Smallville S9 if they price them for $9.99 like last year. Hopefully most of the BD deals will be matching the $5 Wal-Mart price (Legion, TDK, Angels & Demons). Might also grab Dollhouse S1 if it goes below $15.

Hopefully there will be many additional deals throughout the week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a >$25 price on Glee S1 BD.

I am curious about Sunday's Dazed and Confused Criterion; but speculate it will not break the B&N cheaper than $13 price point I've set for myself.

Thanks for info 'Classic Films'!

Wow! What a lackluster list of titles! The majority seem to be the same titles that were offered last year.

Based on the prices posted for Monday it looks like things may cost a bit more as well. I picked up several seasons of "Friends" last year for $8.99 each - they're a $1 higher this time...

There *are* a few I might pick up if the price is right... but taking into consideration the new Lightning Deal rules I may need to get a free 3 month Amazon Mom Prime account to avoid shipping charges...

I am picking up The Complete LOST on Blu-Ray on Black Friday morning, that should be it for me. Maybe BTTF depending on the price.

When do they post the prices for the rest of the week? Monday's "deals" are the only ones with prices when I checked last night.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Amazon has a BF list for movies and CDs, but not for video games?

I went to the video games main page and there is no sort of link to any calendar of deals that I can find.

The video games are not up yet because they've been running a pre-week of Thanksgiving Video Games deals every day. They'll put the list up tomorrow I'd guess.

Did they just put up the CDs recently? I was looking for that list last night and didn't see it.

I'm likewise extremely underwhelmed by these lists. A handful of the titles on the movie list interest me, but they're titles I already bought long ago. The only artists on the music list that grab my attention are the Beatles and Springsteen, but having already bought the Beatles stereo, Beatles mono, and Promise box sets makes the two-disc releases redundant.

The part of the CD sale that surprises me, is most of these are compliations of the artists doing other people's songs... these aren't really their good albums.

That's just the lightning deals. They will have more according to their site:

"Remember: These are just the limited-time offers. For all-week special savings of up to 70%, shop our Black Friday Store starting November 22."
