Avatar Extended Cut Coupons???
Anybody know if there will be any coupons out there for the new Avatar Extended Cut coming out next week?
I joined the "Avatar program" when the original came out in April and they said there would be discounts for those who register the blu ray for the upcoming release in November, but can't find anything.
Any word on any coupns?

I fell for that to, when they said they would be making a coupon availble for those of us who bought the original release. Should have known better.

Re: Avatar Extended Cut Coupons???
Yeah I figured that was their marketing scheme. So, I only got the first release on DVD for $1.99 through a CVS deal using alot of coupons for other products. So, come Tuesday I will be all set getting Avatar at BBy for $5 after PMing Target and using $10 RZ certs and a $10 GC (from the Paranormal Activity 2 for $19.98 deal with a $10 GC deal where I already sold my spare copy for $13)

Costco is taking $6 off the Blu-ray and $4 off the DVD November 26-28.
(No mention of what their original selling price will be)
They handed me a savings book for Thanksgiving weekend on my way out of the store last night.

Slightly OT but has anyone found a better deal on this than the 3 disc blu ray at Amazon for $24.99? I would imagine someone on BF will beat this but who knows....

I highly doubt this will see a better price than $24.99 at a major national retailer, even on Black Friday. It might be a buck or two cheaper at Fry's or Ultimate Electronics, but only paying $5 more than the barebones release is a pretty damn good deal.

well bestbuys or targets ad dont make any mention of the avatar bluray either the original or the new special edition for BF, so i would say 24.99 is best you will do lucky for me i had a 10 dollar promo credit from amazon from a earlier issue so this will be 14.99 for me but still i bought the original release cause fox said there would be a coupon offered as a upgrade.

Re: Avatar Extended Cut Coupons???
Right now on Costco.com it lists that Avatar DVD will be $19.99 and Blu-ray will be $29.99, so assuming that the in-store prices will be similar, then it will be $15.99 for the DVD after discount and $23.99 for the Blu-ray after discount.

Are there any exclusives for the Avatar SE anywhere? And is there any foreign version packed with goodies like Back to the Future? I don't see any special packaging listed on Amazon unfortunately.

And the Amazon deal for the extended blu (24.99) does qualify for the standard free shipping. They're not making us find something for $0.01 to bring the total up to $25.

It'a part of Amazon. They have a section called the GoldBox in which they have daily sales. If you have an account and search around, the GoldBox will often have GoldBox specials on products you may have seen before. Those catered to you will be located below the regaulr GoldBox specials.

I got Avatar in my GoldBox yesterday, and went ahead for that price of $23.74. I guess that's about as good as it'll get.

Thanks for the response re gold box. When I view the gold box page (logged in), I see the one special on the left, the lightning specials on the right, the black friday banner immediately below, and the 'best deals' below that. I guess I'm not special enough in their eyes for my own gold box deals. Hrmph! But I'm glad for those of you who receive the added discount.

I don't think Amazon has a personal vendetta against you. Avatar probably went into my GoldBox after I searched for it a few days before. That's usually the stuff that ends up n your personal GoldBox. Search for any Criterion blu ray. Within days you'll start seeing Criterion's in your GoldBox. It just depends on what you are searching for. And be sure to check your GoldBox everyday since the discount is only good for that one day.

Below Best Deals should be "XXXX's Quick Picks". Sometimes it may not be there, but it's nothing against you. Happens to me too. But it's just items selected to be discounted for you based on your browsing history.

Definitely not. EVERYONE should have a gold box. Just look for a small gold chest icon on the top of your screen, to the left of the where it says "Today's Deals". If you don't have it, perhaps your browser is blocking the image, so maybe try a different browser...

I bought mine at Target since it is also $23.74 there (using my Target card). I know I'm paying tax, but I don't care. The condition of the sleeves is absolutely terrible, so I wanted to pick out a nice one...

I actually used the scan of the ad in the Target Media Prices thread to PM this at Best Buy. I loaded up the thread on my iPad and showed it to the cashier. I wasn't actually sure if it would work but they accepted it. Hehe.
