The album is their best effort to date, in my opinion.

Can't wait to pick this one up. Haven't released a bad one yet (unless you count "All Hands on the Bad One", get it? Get it!?). Damn, there's just something about good music that makes me crack bad jokes...

The first/title track is the best thing they've ever done.

The rest of the album is very poor. Too bad, because after that first song, I was expecting a masterpiece.

I think the final song, Sympathy, rivals the first song. Also, they are experimenting and broading themselves a lot more than they in the past.

Aargg! They played at the Siren Festival a couple weeks ago at Coney Island and I MISSED it! I feel like such the fool. Oh well, maybe they will come back East again soon... Until then I will have the new CD to play - can't wait for it

SLEATER-KINNEY Fall Tour: YOU select the setlist!!

Yep, its true. Sleater-Kinney is letting its fans select the setlist for this upcoming tour! How cool is that? Also, what cover would you like them to do?

I'm sure they'll be adding more dates cuz I can't attend any of those.

Those of you on the east coast get a special treat because
the YEAH YEAH YEAH's are opening.

There's huge buzz surrounding them and they have a 5-song EP out and it's terrific but only 13 minutes long.

I'm gonna see them on three of those dates (if I can get off work). Of all the bands around today, I don't think any of 'em can touch SK.

My picks:

01 - Dig Me Out
02 - Words and Guitar
03 - Leave You Behind
04 - Get Up
05 - I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone

As for the cover, I went with More than a Feeling. Love their version.

01 - "ONE MORE HOUR"

I would love to hear them do a cover of the Who's "A Quick One while he is Away." It would take a lot of effort to do it, though and I don't think they would want to put out all the effort to try to do this one.

I'd love to hear Sleater-Kinney play some songs from their debut album. They never played any while in DC. The Day I Went Away, Slow Song, Lora's Song. Thats my top 3 songs I selected.

I'm heading up to Dallas this Friday to see them. SK Rocks!!!

I haven't heard them perform More Than Feeling, but I voted for it also. I would like to hear it.

Here is the official S-K word on that:

"Why are the tours so brief? Because we are writing songs and getting ready to record. More extensive US and overseas tours will commence once the new album is out. Sorry if we won't be in your city this time around."
