I'm having second thoughts about actually going to RSD. I want to go but I don't really want to go. I'm feeling lazy.

I'm skipping RSD. I have too much shit to do and none of the exclusives are exciting me to the point where I'm going to get up early on a Saturday.

I know you guys are in a different area completely...but is this akin to something like Black Friday style campouts? I'm willing to wait in line for a few things, just not sure how early I'll have to go.

I have a feeling that's what Electric Fetus will be like here...I'm planning to hit one of the suburban record stores in hopes the attention is moreso on the Minneapolis stores.

There's a small record store near me but not keen to wait in line. Ill swing by in the a.m. and if I can get in quickly I'll shop.

Anyone looking for anything in particular but not going? I'll grab what I can and ship at cost. No guarantees but happy to try.

Amoeba is literally like Black Friday. Total clusterfuck. Not worth it at all. What sucks is that even just a year ago I was able to walk in the evening of RSD and pick up plenty of exclusives. Not so anymore.

I don't know what the smaller stores will be like for RSD. I imagine they'll still be busy.

I'm really in flux about the entire thing right now. I had to schedule myself for a short four-hour shift that morning, but I might just go in extremely early and attempt to line-up to get the two things I'm looking for.

I've had the table (it is a Rega). I had just gotten in the repress of Rubberneck by The Toadies, which sounds amazing.

The photo was admittedly confusing as to its primary subject!

I've never actually gone out before a store opened. I always wander around at like noon. But the biggest vinyl store in my area still had a long line at noon. The store put all the RSD stuff on one table in the back of the store so only 2-3 people could be browsing at one time so everyone had to wait their turn. Annoying but I'm not sure how else they could do it.

My local store is posting everything they get today on their Facebook page so there is no mystery whether they hav something or not. I'd say if you really wanted something, you'd be going out at like 4 AM and waiting (assuming the store opens at 8am)

I went to a store in California a few years ago and will be there again this year (The Last Record Store in Santa Rosa, CA .. cool place) ... last time I was there, the owner was very cool, he essentially let everyone in line pick out the 1 thing they wanted the most so everyone got something and you did not have to wait all that long in line.

I follow the shop I plan on going to on Instagram and they actually confined they had everything on my small want list. I'll have to figure it out and see for myself I suppose.

One thing people complain about is people going to RSD to get the exclusives and leaving. I leave because the place is too damned crowded and they usually have some REALLY loud hardcore band playing in the store. I'd love to stick around and browse.
