Yea, I ordered something too! Despite my last claim, browsing facebook and following Ralph Bakshi I found out this came out 3 days ago. I had no idea and had to order!!!

I also liked the Sam Cooke, Legend 2 LP:

That Sam Cooke is great and cheap.

^ looks like a new series of comic books, eh? Hmm. Not really my thing. Speaking of The Thing, Waxwork updated to say that all copies have been pressed. Still no shipping ETA:

In other news... I bought 12 records on my vacation this week, and I'm looking into making a big purchase from a seller on Discogs... :D

I still don't understand this forum's love of listening to soundtracks divorced from their movies (I think they belong hand in hand), but since so many of you seem to dig them, check out Mond's Jaws soundtrack package.

Yea I'm not a comic book fan. I may get this first issue for fun if the price is right. But I won't buy all issues.

Get some awesome stuff in that haul?!?!

Oh yea! I saw that and will get it! Just won't preordered yet cuz I don't wanna be billed yet.

And as far as my soundtrack love, my wife and I have a room for hobbies and it's where my office/library is. I can't research without tunes so I always spin soundtracks.

Nothing too exciting... a couple Matthew Good albums, some dirt-cheap soundtracks (Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2, Xanadu, and Nashville, the latter which I'm most excited about owning), a Bowie re-issue (Ziggy Stardust), and the new Timber Timbre. :)

Oh, and the limited Eraserhead and Fight Club soundtracks. :D I managed to open the Fight Club one without totally destroying the outer sleeve, so I'm happy. ;)

And, my Nine Inch Nails - Fragile Deviations 1 was waiting for me when I got home. Super basic packaging... honestly... not really worth the $80 price... but holy crap, the music is SO GOOD.

Is that $80 for the whole lot, or NIN alone? I got the soundtrack to the Alamo the other day! Cheap but fun!

Just the NIN. It's 4 LPs stuffed into a gatefold sleeve.

The Fu Manchu California Crossing is on sale on the band's Big Cartel sale store. It's $27 plus $17 (yeah, I know, fuck me) but it has been upgraded to priority mail. It's $44 shipped. It stung a bit but I think that pretty much wraps it up as far as collecting the band's essential albums goes.

It's still way cheaper than the original pressing by far.

No shows here, though. Also, you bought that ticket to see them, so I figure the cost is the same.

It doesn't matter -- I paid with the PayPal After Delivery option.

Not to tempt you :D but Mondo just announced that they're re-stocking Fight Club this week (likely Wednesday at noon, Central Time). $35 plus shipping. I paid about $42 at a store on vacation (after currency conversion), so I guess I didn't pay TOO much.

edit: AND! Waxwork just sent me a shipping confirmation for The Thing! I seem to recall you ordered that one as well! :D

Show was $15, so $35 all in, but I also got a sweet show out of it.

I wish they would play L.A. more often. I missed their Viper Room show they did for the Fog Hat cover release or whatever it was. I don't want to drive to LBC or OC to see them.

Haha! I was just gonna come post the same about Fight Club! I dont recall the soundtrack at all, and even then, than movie is something I rarely see. I really gotta be in a mood for it.... but with this addiction, who knows?!

And I haven't gotten SHIT from Waxworks! Glad yours shipped but I am sick of looking everyday to see where my LP is..... 5 months aint cool. I finally bitched enough where they shipped my Warriors LP and I just got it 2 weeks ago. That sounds AWESOME! Having said that, I ordered Waxwork's Nightbreed from discogs. Its OOP and got it for $25 new - I have never seen the movie but I figure I cant go wrong with Elfman!

So, this happened today:
http://i.imgur.com/RqMMFBj.jpg?1

These are all 200-gram re-releases. 7 studio albums, 1 live album.

Really hoping they do the remaining six(?) studio albums, at the very least... but three of them never had official vinyl releases at all.

Soundtrack people:

Star Trek the Motion pic is back in stock at La La Land records. Had a good review from Michael Fremer.

VERY nice! One thing I still haven't done is grab a vinyl set....usually the math adds up but its a huge expense at once.
