I will say this... when I was in high school, the jocks were all a bunch of assholes. Arrogant and entitled even though couldn't produce a winning season to save their lives.

When I went to college I think the thing that surprised me most was the football and basketball players I met were all pretty decent dudes. Good-natured, positive, and fun to be around. Not at all like their high school counterparts who regularly harassed and bullied those who weren't in their clique. Jason and Travis remind me a lot of those athletes I knew in college.

Well, when you put it this way:

Independent record store, Vertigo Vinyl, reveals two Taylor Swift albums alone generated them $128,000 in sales last year:

“Taylor Swift sales alone pay our yearly rent”

That record looks more like Vincent Vega not practicing trigger discipline than red lipstick and lace.

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

Has she always turned off comments on her IG posts? I guess that’s good for her and her mental health to not read the crap people post.

Good for her and Kelce.

Too bad her comments are turned off. I won't be able to ask if she wants me to officiate the wedding. My weddings are AWESOME.

Sure, but you require people to throw cereal instead of rice at the newlyweds. That might turn some folks off.

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

I've enjoyed seeing Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship as it's been nice to see celebrities as seeming more human as opposed to the God like worship they receive. With that being said everyone on social media and businesses in KC was annoying as hell this afternoon as if they had some kind of investment in their relationship. This is not the next Royal Wedding.

You know, it kind of IS. As close as we've ever had in the US. When JFK Jr finally got married, it was to someone not at all famous in her own right. When have two people this famous and this celebrated ever gotten married to each other? Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley? Taylor and Travis are more famous than them. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston maybe? (Yes Angelina Jolie was also famous, but that wedding wasn't celebrated at all).

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

Of all the guys she dated she picks him the meathead who assaulted his coach and yells "You Got the Right to Party!" after a win?

Joe Alwyn was not a narcissist and quietly excelled in his craft and does not bring attention to himself and would have been happy if it was him and not Kelce.

Nobody knows how public the ceremony for Swift and Kelce will be, but it will not be at the level of a British Royal Wedding, simply because a royal wedding is a state affair that is supposed to be a link in a chain of centuries of history.

However, it is 100% guaranteed that they could fill a stadium for their wedding, if they wanted, and thousands of people would line the streets outside just to get a glimpse of them, and every network would broadcast it live if they were allowed.

This is as big as it gets in America.

Joe also didn't want to marry her, as she actually sang about in the song "You're Losing Me". Maybe she wants to marry the guy who actually proposed to her?

Like you’re really qualified to judge her on who she dates and who her future husband should be.

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

According to Travis' dad they've been engaged for two weeks now. I guess that puts it before the podcast?
