No. It was a Ticketmaster decision. They don't mind being the punching bag for artists but this would be a corporate decision because it's outside of the artist. They did the same for Adele at Caesars before that. They might also have done it for Olivia Rodrigo this year and possibly for Oasis next year but we will see about that. It's not really common but it happens from time to time. Fan2Fan verified sales are also becoming more common which undercuts their secondary market. For high profile events the juice isn't worth the squeeze or in this case the added scrutiny. As for dynamic pricing that's 100% on the artist and Swift did opt out of that. She also did make them reach out to some people that were screwed in the pre-sale and gave them a second chance for tickets several months later. That's how I got a pair so kudos for her there too.

To not do resales on TM because of the optics not because Swift said no. It was only decided after the pre-sale went pear shaped. They left that to StubHub, Seat Geek et al. Since that’s almost pure profit they left millions on the table because even that wasn’t worth the blowback.

Picked up the Target exclusive CD of the Anthology album today. Glad I didn't get the other 563 versions.

Decided I didn’t need it sitting around collecting dust. The vinyls were long gone but still a decent supply of the books.

Target had a bunch of everything when my wife and I went yesterday afternoon. She just got the vinyl for now. I’ll probably grab the book and give it to her for Christmas or her birthday.

I assume since it is 2025 there will never be a Blu-ray or 4K disc release for the 2023 Eras Tour concert film that currently airs on Disney +.

She shot another movie during the final dates of the tour. Nobody knows (or is saying) what she will do with the footage. Maybe a BTS documentary?

I had heard that the agreement for The Eras Tour film with D+ was just for a year. Once it gets removed, Taylor owns the only way to watch it. Not sure what she'll do, but as people here like to point out, she isn't usually shy about making her work available to purchase. Usually in several different formats and release versions.

Maybe it will be a Target Black Friday exclusive.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but there is a STRONG internet suspicion that Taylor will announce Reputation : TV at the AMA’s tonight.
Not one of my favorite albums, but would like to hear some new music from her (and Jack). I figure this one has been in the can for a long time now.

I hope she does. I only listened to part of it when it came out and it was well before I fell under Taylor’s enchantment. I have been waiting for Taylor’s version to listen to Reputation again. I do like the several songs I hear from it on the Apple Music Essentials playlists.
