You guys are omitting the other meaning of lover. You can be an animal lover or a film lover. It can mean a passionate connoisseur.

Well it was either her or Lil Pump, but I guess I can live with their choice.

Everything she said was a slogan or a platitude.

Watched Miss Americana this morning. Very well made documentary with some informative stuff about her writing process and struggles throughout her career. That Kanye stuff really did a number on her and since his music has been terrible over the last few years I had forgotten how much of a douchebag he was.

Her new video

She puts on makeup and dresses like a dude

At first I thought it was a real guy

Probably the new anthem for MeToo

That's a really great make-up job. Even though I was told it was her in drag, when I watched the video I questioned if that was true.

Nobody was lip syncing to her music in that video.

Wow, you really miss the point. MeToo is about speaking out about sexual harassment and sexual assault. This song is about how perceptions about how men and women are very different, and how Taylor Swift’s behavior and exploits would have been much less negatively received if she were a man instead of being a woman.
As I mentioned earlier in this thread about this song : she’s not wrong there.

Re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

Pretty clever if not a little crude. Similar tonEddie Murphy’s famous SNL piece. The Man has so many meanings in our English vernacular and the song plays with them in a clever way.

It’s a great example of how important body movement is. It’s all in the way she moves herself. And in the few moments where she’s less than convincing it’s when she is recognizably moving in that TS way that we expect.

She gives it away at 2:41 of the video when she hits the tennis ball that is not a real guy

Also at 1:27 when she bobs her head. Just something comes through and she seems herself. But mostly a remarkable performance.

Taylor Swift stuns fans with $3,000 each for their coronavirus hardships.

It's great she's helping random strangers out by giving them money during these very unsettling times.
