Waterboys in Boston last night. Fantastic show, and awesome selection of songs. Finally got to see them play my favorite, "We Will Not Be Lovers"---I think that's the first time they've done that one in the six times I've seen them.

The Selecter in Boston. Best friggin' show I've seen this year--amazing. And Pauline was manning the t-shirt booth herself and signing stuff--what a nice lady! The classics sounded great, but they're still putting out awesome new stuff:

It was kind of weak due to the songs they decided to play. They only played 5 older songs (Awake at the Wall, Sleepwalk, The Glass House, Believers of the Unpure & This is Heresy) and everything else was later stuff. I understand that Valor does not want to play much of the Rozz material but after Rozz left he recorded Atrocities which is a really good album and he did not do anything from that.

saw Biffy Clyro last night at U St. Music Hall - holy shit... rock with a capital 'R' - this guys nearly tore a hole in the ceiling (well upper floor)- think Foo Fighters with better lyrics - massive choruses, adrenaline-fused energy - really shocked that they aren't more well known here in the States - hands down the best concert I've seen in years.

I saw Frank Turner this past Friday at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland. Outstanding show. Second time I've seen him this year.

Vampire Weekend on Wednesday. Great show but a bit on the short side. Their set lasted just over an hour including the encore. Great performance though.

Fiona Apple last night at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Great show, but she looked really bad. No videos since WDCH does not allow cameras or cells phones...(But I rolled audio
