That's what I thought.
For a while, Asia only had Geoff Downes from the original lineup. I think at this point, Therapy? only has one original member.

Oh, how about Nine Inch Nails? ;-)

Is Axl doing costume changes? Plus he looks bored to be up there...

Trent IS NIN.

Kinda like how I see Josh Homme as QOTSA.

This reminded me...Underoath now has 0 original members...0. And they are still called Underoath.

Also, I think Jefferson Airplane eventually was only 1 original member, but by then they were Starship (Jefferson Airplane ->Jefferson Starship ->Starship).

Nearly Unrecognizable Axl Rose Gives Lackluster Performance.

Patience is my favorite. He botches the lyrics at around 4:20, mumbles something about being "fucking pissed," does the Sad Charlie Brown Walk around the stage, (in the rain, no less!), and then mopes through the second part of the song (skip to 6:15), standing in one spot the entire time. I think he may even be asleep at one point.

Re: GUNS N' ROSES: "Chinese Democracy" -11/23/08

Wow! That's about all I can say after seeing the videos above.

I've been a GnR and Axl Rose fan since I was 10 years old (almost 25 years now). This, by far, is the worst I've seen (granted they were MIA for alot of those years too). Axl looked 10 times better a few years ago with the ridiculous cornrows and was obviously in much better shape. Now he looks like a creampuff that just doesn't give a shit anymore.

What I wouldn't give to see him and Slash put their differences aside and reunite. No offense to the current GnR lineup but maybe a reunion would light the fire again and maybe get Axl motivated to perform (and exercise). We know he still talks to Izzy, he & Duff have made up. Not sure where things stand with Steven Adler or Matt Sorum but now would be the perfect time to make a call to Slash and have a chat. A motivated Axl Rose and GnR reunion would be epic!

Re: GUNS N' ROSES: "Chinese Democracy" -11/23/08

Do you think this is part of his plan? Maybe he knows, that if he was in shape, and did a awesome show he would get less coverage. But being fat, dressing like a clown and putting on an awful show while bitching and moaning during the show will get tons more press. I mean really, if you are that fucking miserable, would you really be out there doing a tour, let alone be out there in front of a crowd that big?

/\ You know, you may be on to something there. I can only hope that the negative press makes him think this way but it could also force him into hiding until he's 70. Whether that's his intention, we'll never know but yes, you'd think after all these years that anything he does that even remotely puts out a negative reaction is going to automatically get jumped on by the media. On the flip side, a reunion would certainly bring about some good press for a change.

Quite possibly the creepiest picture I've seen in a long time.

Please Axl, let's go back to this:

This whole thing reminds me of Jim Morrison in his waning days. When's he moving to Paris?

Re: GUNS N' ROSES: "Chinese Democracy" -11/23/08

I was at the Miami show on 10/29/2011. The wife scored corporate box seats at the American Airlines Arena, which is the ONLY way I would have gone to see GNR in this day and age. Which came way in handy, because the band didn't come on until just after MIDNIGHT. Nothing like an hour and a half of crowd BOOING before you come onstage. Fortunately, we were in a position to kick back in comfy chairs and order more drinks, because otherwise I would have been PISSED. I had a friend who had been standing in General Admission since 6pm, and stayed there for nine hours.

Surprisingly, they played for 3 hours and sounded FANTASTIC. Bitch if you must, but they put on a ginormously strong show. If you got nothing to do the next day and they are coming to your town, I highly recommend checking them out. Show up at around 11pm, though.

Re: GUNS N' ROSES: "Chinese Democracy" -11/23/08

That interview was actually done shortly after the end of that show in Miami. I think they did it at around four in the morning, according to Eddie Trunk's Twitter. Eddie had been at the arena for something like sixteen hours at that point trying to secure the interview.

Axl's so full of shit about the start times. If "not agreeing to the Illusion tour" was the main reason he started showing up late twenty years ago, then why is it still happening to this day, when he's in complete control of the band? Because he's a prima donna perfectionist asshole who, despite what he may say, doesn't give a fuck about anyone but himself. Not his bandmates, not his crew, and certainly not his fans. Even if he does put on a great, three-hour show. His late start times were one of the main reasons the old guys all left the band.

Try saying that on a Guns N Roses forum, most people will slaughter you.
I posted on a forum that I though Axl was lying, because he paused quite some time before answering, got nervous, used excessive hand movements and remained vague about the answer without giving it directly. All the nutswingers were in tow to call me all sorts of things.
