Dude, you let your friend give away the second disc? What the fuck is wrong with you guys! Now he has an empty spot and you have a bare cd with no home!

it has a very nice home in my CD player!
what am I gonna do, say no thanks? saved me the double-dip!
which I'd glady do, and may still when I get an SACD player in the next several months.

Actually, the Precursor remix isn't exactly like the one in Seven. From various discography FAQs:
A remix of Closer appears in the opening credits of this film. This remix is based heavily on the Coil Remix of Closer (Precursor). It starts 45 seconds to a minute into the track and fades out before the end. In the words of John Balance, the remixer: "Actually, it was an independent remix done exclusively for the film. Based heavily on our Precursor Mix of Closer. We don't recieve a credit in the movie or video release which pisses us off even to this very day. The Lazerdisc DOES credit us in some way. I hate the way the film industry pisses all over the sources they derive their inspiration from."
I bought the SACD and it's great. The 5.1 mix is spectacular - Trent pulled out all the stops. The intro to "Reptile" just seems more disturbing now.
Trent just updated his website answering a few more questions. Most important: he's working on a surround mix on the new album ("with teeth") and hopes to release it at the same time as the stereo mix. He'd also like to do his other main releases this way (including Broken), but isn't looking forward to working with TVT so he can do it for Pretty Hate Machine as well.

May 3?
According to the official site, the cd has been completed. They already have announced some tour dates for London for the end of March. I would imagine (actually *hope*) that the new album is released before they start doing shows! Either way, I'll be first in line for the new album and first in line to get tickets (or maybe just awake to get tix from the presale).

definetly cool...
haven't been to the site in yeeeaaarrrsss...but the site's look definetly reminds me---if not influenced---by designer Helmut Lang's simplistic white/black website.

Pretty cool and pretty worthless, all in the same 30 seconds. It should be a good album, and hearing anything new is exciting. I've always liked what Trent has put out, barring a few remixes.

Funny that 3/5/05 is right now, if you ready it 3 May 2005. I'm excited about the upcoming tour. I guess many of the shows that have been announced so far sold out in 15-20 minutes. Small venues though.

Just a heads-up that the SACD hybrid version of The Downward Spiral is on sale at Best Buy this week - $16.99.
I don't have SACD capabilities yet, but plan to in the future, so I picked this up (already have all of the songs elsewhere, except for the three demos).

I know some of you people must of heard the Hand That Feeds radio leak this weekend. I grabbed it off alt.binaries.mp3, it is quite low quality, but you get an idea of what the song is. Supposedly someone stole the low quality version from the video shoot and leaked it to dj's.
It's very dancy kinda distorted upbeat bass groove, verse/chorus type song...but I definately like it a lot...the vocals at times are kinda iffy, they almost sound unfinished towards the end...i knew i wasn't going to be blown away, i mean it's a radio single, but it's still pretty damn good,

Thanks for the heads up on the line begins to blur.
Just downloaded it, a lot better quality rip than the hand that feeds..
reminds me of a harder day the whole world went away...great song...i'm questioning whether this is a final mix though...but great material for fans to feast on till may.

It actually worries me in a strange way that I like the single this much.
I didn't very much like any of the radio songs from The Fragile. I think Reznor's more "song based" approach may work out for the best; maybe he's one of those artists who actually improves by moving toward the more 'accessible' end of things.
