I don't see what you're all going on about. If you listen to the song the last verse calls out radicals and racists so CLEARLY he can't be a racist.......

I don't have the time/energy to look it up, but I'm pretty sure Axl distanced himself from both "One in a Million" and "Used to Love Her" around the time either the live album or the greatest hits album came out [Although "Used to Love Her" was on the live album]. Anyways, I seem to remember reading that he planned to re-release Lies without those two tracks on them. Of course, that never happened.

This whole debate is almost 20 years old.
YAWN!
I saw them open up for the Stones back in '89 and he gave a 10 minute rant about that song. And that was even before they went on. When the Stones came on (late due to GnR showing up 90min late), Mick said "I'm not going to do any talking tonight. I think Axl's done enough for both of us."

I don't think songwriting is any different than writing for a book, movie, or TV show. It's to tell a story, to entertain, to make people think. It's not always meant to be taken literally or to reflect the point of view of the person who wrote it. Besides, A) it was written, what, 15 years ago? and B) who really cares what Axl thinks/thought. Get over it. Get on with your life. If it bothers you that much go out and donate some time to make the world a better place.

Now...Matt Sorum will do just as well if not better than Adler.
Also...Oh My God should NOT be on this album....the song is 7 years old.
Lastly, as far as the original lineup getting back together...it's not going to happen as long as Velvet Revolver is around.

Guns 'confirm' "Chinese Democracy"
10/06/2006 4:00 PM, Yahoo! Music
Dotmusic
The new Guns N' Roses album will be released next month, it has been claimed.
Chinese Democracy has been mooted for around a decade by Axl Rose, the only surviving member of the band since their days of rock 'n' roll world domination.
However with the group recently completing a relatively successful and trouble-free European tour and scheduling more dates in the U.S., new recordings also seem imminent.
According to claims in Rolling Stone this week, Chinese Democracy has officially been scheduled for an American release date of November 21.
Earlier in the week, a cryptic statement from the group backed up such speculation, insisting "there are 13 Tuesdays left between now and the end of the year."
There has so far been no official confirmation on these reports.

I don;t get it ... why will the forum allow you to spell out "immigrants" and "faggots" but they will not allow you to spell out "nig*ger"?

I got this from Blabbermouth.net:
In the new issue of Rolling Stone (web site) hitting stands this Friday (Oct. 20), writer Brian Hiatt reveals what he's discovered about the long-awaited GUNS N' ROSES album "Chinese Democracy". The article begins with this elusive quote from GN'R manager Merck Mercuriadis, in which he essentially retreads stuff we already know: "The album will come out this year. There are ten Tuesdays left before January — it will come out on one of them."
Following GUNS' headlining gig in San Bernadino, California, on September 23, GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose threw a party at his mansion and played the full album in his poolroom for visitors, including his friend Sebastian Bach, former singer of SKID ROW. "It was mind-blowing," says Bach, who is opening for GUNS N' ROSES on their upcoming North American arena tour. "It's a very cool album — it's badass with killer screams, killer guitar riffs, but it's got a totally modern sound. The word for it is 'grand.' It’s fucking epic. He's reinvented himself yet again."
The album includes some tracks that have been played live or leaked onto the Internet, including the poppy "Better" and the hard-hitting "I.R.S." "There's this one song called 'Sorry' that's almost like doom metal with Axl singing really clean over this grinding, slow beat that is fucking mean," says Bach. "I cannot get it out of my head."
Veteran engineer Andy Wallace, who mixed NIRVANA's "Nevermind", is working on the project, according to a source close to the band. "We're absolutely delighted with the mixes," the source told Rolling Stone.
On October 24, the band will kick off its North American tour in Miami. Two dates — November 10 in New York and November 20 in Halifax, Nova Scotia — are already sold out, according to Mercuriadis. Additional U.S. dates will be added in early 2007, and the band will return to the States in the summer as well, he says.
Though a source told Rolling Stone that the album is due November 21, Mercuriadis declined to confirm this. "I don't know that we will announce a release date," he says. "You just might walk into your record shop one Tuesday and find it there."

Wasn't Sebastian Bach at one point lined up to front Velvet Revolver?

So it looks like it will be out shortly. I will pick it up at lunch on the release date. I've waited 13 years for this album. Who else is buying it?
