These days they wouldn't, but who know's if anyone would care if Kurt did in 2004 either. Unfortunately, even though I do think he was a pretty good songwriter, and I do give him credit, and I do believe he was the more important of the 2, I highly doubt Nirvana and Kurt would be regarded as high as they are now if he had never killed himself.

Back in 1994 if Trent killed himself you can bet people would care, he had a lot larger, younger, more impressionable fanbase back then than he does now. The same type of angsty teenage fanbase that Kurt and Nirvana had.

I could care less if anyone else actually cared if he killed himself though. I would care, but I'm a fan and it would just mean no more music for me.
