Help for broken digipaks (spindles)
Just a FYI for those of you with CDs in digipaks with broken spindles (and who don't already know this). It's my biggest pet peeve with this type of packaging but more and more music is coming out this way so I think this thread is timely.
I found out that you can buy little foam hubs, made to hold a CD, with sticky backing on them so I bought a roll (smallest amount uline.com sells). They seem to come in only two colors, white and black. All you need to do is break off the remaining spindle tabs and stick one of these foam hubs in the spindle's place. Holds CD very well. I was inspired to look for these after buying a Nick Lowe CD that used one on top of the hub in a digipak to hold a bonus CD
Keep in mind, I bought the 1/8 inch type but they seem a little short, might want to get the 1/4 inch ones, you can always shave a little off it they are too high.
