Even in the US Der Kommissar, Vienna Calling, Jeanny, and at least one other song were hits. And in Europe he had a lot more releases (and hits). And if you don't believe me, try listening to his song Naked and tell me if that wouldn't be a big hit in the US if it were ever released here.
