That would be The Rotters, and that song, as a random aside, inspired a similar line in Nerf Herder's "Courtney".

Wasn't "Instant Karma" a big radio hit, too?

I don't think it even charted respectably, but I have a soft spot for Toto Coelo's "I Eat Cannibal," from '83 or so.

Y'all are too young if you only remember one John Lennon song on the radio. He had quite a few before his death with those last couple albums.

I know Van Stephenson, the list he sang included only Modern Day Delilah, but the songs he has written is a whole wealth of top 40 country and pop hits. He is a pretty cool guy.

No, they still play John Lennon on the radio on KEARTH 101, but they only play "Imagine". They also play "My Sweet Lord" by Jorge Harrison.

"Centerfold" by the J. Geils Band, who are not a one-hit wonder.

"Freeze Frame" was another, I think "Love Stinks" did pretty well, and there may have been others...

Right, that's all they play now. Back in the late 70s early 80s there was Woman ("I can hard-ly ex-press"), Starting Over, Instant Karma, and some others.

I hate that, though. Some artists had tons of hits in their heyday and now you'd think they were One Hit Wonders. It's always the same song or two from the Rolling Stones, Jane's Addiction, etc.

Geils rocked back in the day. saw them once prior to the Stinks album....Magic Dick was in fine form.

as for 1 hit....Tommy Tutone and Jenny. went to a small northern cali town to see him twice in '88. the first time he was too drunk to stand up.

Yep. I'm a big Jethro Tull fan, and every now and then someone will tell me, "Hey, I heard Tull on the radio today!" (as if I care what they heard on the radio), and inevitably, I'll say "Bungle in the Jungle, right?" "Yeah."

I dont think People Who Died from Jim Carroll was a hit....it was too good of a tune, but to me the whole Catholic Boy album rocked.
