Now that the older generation has made it back to theaters for Top Gun, maybe they will push Elvis higher. Personally its one of my most anticipated movies of the summer.

There is an Early Access Fan event screening at select theaters on Tuesday the 21st. Similar to what Top Gun and The Batman did.

They are giving out a special poster.

Based on the trailers, I have reservations about the Parker character, who just sounds like Tom Hanks doing a silly voice (coincidently, the only other time I remember not liking Hanks in a movie was The Ladykillers). Hopefully the movie will prove me wrong.

Far too many drama films nowadays feel like TV shows, but I expect Luhrmann to make this a cinematic experience. I look forward to sitting in my comfy, air-conditioned theatre to see this on the big screen.

Unrelated to this movie, but Tom Hanks got really angry here when someone bumped into his wife.

I saw that earlier. While they apologized to him because he wasn't happy but they really owed her an apology. Fans can get overzealous and need to check themselves. Celebs just want to avoid possible danger. What if they accidentally tripped her and she hit her head on the sidewalk. The guy wasn't even paying attention to the fact that she had stopped walking, waiting for Tom.

I can't tell 100%, but it sure looks to me like the guy who bumped into Rita is the one who turns around pointing fingers at the people behind him, saying, "What are you all doing? They buggin! These people are..." trying to absolve himself of any blame.

I've never been to one of these, but are the posters rolled up? How do you even get them home without being dented?

Still mixed on this movie, unless the reviews are great, I'll probably wait on this one. My parents are planning to go though.

I went to the Top Gun fan screening and the special poster was given flat, not rolled. It was difficult to hold with concessions and finding a place to put it while seated.

Yeah, the poster I got with Interstellar way back when was also given flat.

I got a poster for World War Z and it was given flat as well. Luckily they gave it to me as I left the theater so I didn’t have to worry about it while watching the movie.

That said there is no possible way this will be any good. But I will check it out when I can watch on a streaming service.

That Hanks video is funny, because Hanks assumes the scrawny kid with the glasses and the cell phone was responsible and it was the beefy guy with professional camera equipment. That poor kid will probably spend the rest of his life thinking Tom Hanks hates him.
