The last round of the big fight in "Cinderella Man" goes on for about 15 minutes.

Most boxing matches in films (where they are a key event) are unrealistically brutal.

Having seen three Tyson fights in person, I can tell you they absolutely can be very brutal.

I believe the "Pamchenko", the super-secret move in The Cutting Edge, is illegal in competitive figure skating.

And perhaps some of the poker players can chime in, but isn't it illegal to say "I'll see your xxx and raise you yyy"? You can either call or raise, but you can't do both. I think that happens in Rounders

Yeah, that's called "string raising". I was always told that was a house thing more than a hard and fast rule but most houses forbid it. I've seen it in plenty of home games though.

The Honda Odyssey has a 10 speed.

In A League of Their Own in at least one game you can clearly see several players crying on the field.

I doubt that ever happened. There’s no crying in baseball.

Basically the shots were totally unrealistic

When Tom Cruise actually played real shots, they were ridiculously simple stop shots, shots you might get once every three or four games. Then when shots were played by others (stunt stand ins), they were ridiculous trick shot type shots, shots you might play once in a hundred real games

There were no (well very few) regular realistic pool shots, you usual mid range, quarter to half ball pots with 2 rail position using a trace of english etc.

It would be like showing a basketball game in a movie with only uncontested lay ups where all other players were in the other half of the court or 360 degree double windmill slam dunks over 3 defenders and nothing in between

There you go

That is an extremely good analogy. I get it now.

Love and Basketball from 2000 showed the USC Trojans playing at the same random ass small gym as their home court.

Truth is both the men's and women's teams played at the LA Sports Arena during that time.

Re: Sports errors in movies

That really is pathetic. And undersells the team.
