Here's my list from 2017:
Monster Trucks
Unforgettable
Kidnap
The Mummy
Rough Night
The Dark Tower - More forgettable and disappointing than worst.
Birth of the Dragon - A few good fight scenes, but easily one of the worst big budget films associated with Bruce Lee (not counting the knockoffs from the 70's)
Flatliners - This might be the top movie of my worst of 2017.
Downsizing
Leatherface -- Kill this franchise already please.
Killing Gunther -- Easily Arnold's worst
Inconceivable -- Awful Lifetime-type thriller with Nic Cage
Arsenal -- Another awful Nic Cage straight to video movie

It's as delightfully trashy and comedically terrible as you'd hope. But in a lot of ways, a little too knowingly.

Blade Runner to me was not only the worst movie i have seen this year, it was also the most boring, pretentious, misogynistic unnecessary movie of the year. It was completely awful.
Also hated The Last Jedi. Possibly the dumbest plot of any movie ever

I Totally forgot about Rough Night, I just watched it after renting it from the Library. If it was going to be a gender bender of "Very Bad Things" it should of had the guts to be just as savage of a black comedy. Nope not even close, it turned into a slapstick farce after the male stripper was killed, and none of the ladies got there comeuppance like in Very Bad Things. Plus the dudes in it were some of the most pansy girly men ever put on film.

I blind bought John Wick 2 because I love the first so much. I've tried to watch it twice. I have still yet to finish it. It's not bad, per se, just a pretty big disappointment.

In 2 sittings you couldn't get through it?
It's balls out insane action, kills and shootouts.

Exactly, it was a big step in the right direction for real action movies.

Yeah, John Wick 2 was one of my favorites of 2017.

John Wick 2 sucked compared to the first. But I wouldn’t put it on a worst list.

Re: The Worst Films of 2017.
I guess the clarification you (generic "you") need to make is what your criteria is for "worst".
I would be hard pressed to answer this as I don't watch movies I don't expect to like. I can't think of anything that I watched that I completely hated (or maybe I'm just repressing those memories). I suppose the closest I would come is Alien: Covenant, but then I spent another $10 to buy the BluRay at Christmas.
The Dark Tower might be my choice, but it wasn't outright BAD. It was just plain "meh". It wasn't bad film making, it wasn't even really bad storytelling ... it was just bad decision making from the start of production.
I will agree somewhat with dom56 on Blade Runner 2049 ... a very overrated film, but it also was not outright "bad". Visually stunning, but wholly unnecessary and it didn't ad anything more to the lore of the universe. [taking cover]
Three Billboards was another film I chastised heavily here. Again, it wasn't an outright "bad" movie, it was just seriously flawed in the script stage and then it was held up to be something that it really isn't. Or am I talking about Downsizing? Completely interchangeable in the context of my comments.
Something has to be the "worst" so I guess I will have to fall back to "what gave me the least amount of joy". I guess, in that regard, I'm going to say Dark Tower.

I'm in the camp that thought JW2 was a huge step down from JW1. It didn't have the building momentum or intrigue of the first, it just felt like more and on a bigger scale. But yeah, not one for the worst of list.

At least the dog wasn't killed in JW2.
For me, the 3 biggest disappointments were: BR 2049, Alien Covenant, and TLJ.
I had high expectations for all 3.
The first 2 are not really bad movies...I just hoped for something more from them.
OTOH, TLJ was an absolutely vicious kick in the balls from Disney.

Wow, so much John Wick 2 hate. I loved it.
I generally only watch movies that really interest me or are generally reviewed well unless I get dragged to something I don't care for... so the only movies I really disliked was probably Alien: Covenant.

Re: The Worst Films of 2017.
It's surprising to me that the 20th "worst" movie of the year has close to a 50% RT rating. I saw two of these (Ghost in the Shell and The Mummy, with Justice League something that I'll get around to before too long).
Exactly why I don't feel like I could even put together a "worst" list. And even the movies that people are listing, I generally went into them knowing they were flawed movies and was prepared for it.
This is the first time I finally got smart and stopped wasting my time with Transformers movies.

Another Disappointing vote for The Shape of Water.

Re: The Worst Films of 2017.
John Wick 2 does not deserve to be on any worst of 2017 list. Sure it wasnt as good as the first, but still entertaining and nice to see practical hard hitting violent action. Worst thing about it was Common, who is NEVER good in any movie.
