With the exception of Red Notice, a streaming movie, and Jungle Cruise (Pandemic release, day and date with a $30 rental) Most of Johnson's recent movies have either broken even or were box office hits.
This will do fine unless the word of mouth and reviews are outright terrible. He has enough clout and it being a DC property for it to draw interest.

I'm hoping they were at least smart enough to have Djimon Hounsou's Wizard give Teth Adam his powers, because it will be pretty strange if they came from another source. They show him hurling lightning bolts in the trailer, just like Billy.

Like most of Johnson's films, I'm sure this will be a hit. But I saw the trailer for the first time last night before "Jaws" and it looks terrible.

The only thing that looks halfway interesting is a full-bore Hawkmen. Otherwise...meh. Definitely don't think The Rock needed to be in another desert movie after Scorpion King.

I have been completely ignorant of this movie other than seeing the name thrown about. Just saw a commercial during Thursday night football, and I must say I am in! Looks good.
ETA to add by 'in' I mean not at the theater, but when it comes to streaming and is affordable. That said it does look good and I like the appearance of Hawkman.

I'm not into comics and I still have no idea what this is about. Other than he's pissed his son is dead and he's vengeful. The trailer looks good, I guess but I wish I knew more of his background. I feel like I can wait for streaming. Their marketing better kick in if they want this to be a hit.

I wasn't wowed by this trailer at all. It was mostly variations / minor extensions of stuff we've been shown already with a few new bits sprinkled in. I'll still watch it but only for the Justice Society.
I know Waller has always had her fingers in many pies but, has she typically had dealings with the JSA in the comics?

The Rock is such a legitimately nice guy. He did much the same for a girl I met during the shoot of Fast Five. I may not be too enthusiastic about this flick but I want it to succeed because it's nice when legitimately nice people succeed.
