I knew I felt like what I posted reminded me of something.



Love that movie.

His acting is the linchpin that needs to hold this flick together... and I got zilch from the teaser to give me hope he'll do justice to Han Solo. As a major Star Wars fan, nothing they showed got me even the slightest bit pumped for the movie. That's never a good sign. Hopefully I'm wrong and we'll end up with a fun sci-fi romp, but I'm expecting mediocrity at best.

It looks...fine. I don't know.

As much as people (myself included) complain about how small this universe is, and considering how played out this character is, I actually want to see if/how Boba Fett plays into this story. I mean, if they're going to make this movie, throw it all in there.

I thought that was hilarious in Baby Driver and purely intentional. Ansel would've made a great Han.


So is he in his late teens in this one?

I’m assuming this is Han in his early to mid 20s. The Han we get in episode 4 is already a veteran smuggler and his mid to late 30s.

So this is at least 10 years before A New Hope if I had to guess.

29 in A New Hope.

On the "Empire of Dreams" documentary Carrie Fisher said Harrison Ford was 33 when A New Hope was made.

He was. The character was 29.

Han's age was never mentioned during the movie.

Never said it was.

Previous Lucasfilm material said 29.

He was supposed to be in RotS as a 10 year old boy... Luke and Leia are 18 in ANH.

Was 29 mentioned on a Star Wars wiki or Star Wars novel?

This has to be at least 10 years...maybe 7-8 minimum before we meet him then.

He was 19 in a book which took place 10 years before ANH. No longer canon. But a reference point.

Alden Ehrenreich is 28, we actually share the same birthday (Nov 22nd).

The big question is will Glover call him "Haan" like Billy Dee does?

Not unless Maz lost 2 arms between this and Force Awakens.

I assume the "job" from Woody's character is the main plot of the movie. Since it was Chewie that said yes, Han either meets Chewie very early in the movie or their relationship is already established and maybe we get a flashback or something.

Twins are 19 (commentary for ANH, GL says when Leia appears that she's 19 with a PHD in poli-sci, something like that).




Anyways, I liked it. Alden does look a bit different than Ford, but I think he's channeling the spirit have a young Han Solo pretty well. His character does change over time, so we shouldn't expect to see the same Han we see in the Mos Eisley Cantina.


And I kept wondering where Emilia Clarke was before realizing I was looking for Maisie Williams (I was stuck on her face because of her Doctor Who work). But Clarke looks good, and the look of the film really seems spot on.


Han's last line in the trailer is classic Han Solo too.

This is my take on the character. Like others, I'm assuming that this is somewhere around 10 years before ANH, so Han should change from this movie to ANH. He should not be the full character we see in ANH; however, I do want to see glimpses during the movie of the character he will become down the road.

I had a more positive feeling from the first teaser.

I'm getting the feeling any enthusiasm I have for this is going to wax and wane as more footage gets released right up to opening day.

Interesting that a character is named Qi’ra. (I think I read that poster right.)

Rey was originally named Kira in early drafts of TFA.

I dig the posters; shouldn’t they be “wanted” posters though?

They did better casting Lando than they did Han.

I was planning to see this movie solely for Glover. But if it turns out being good overall, that's a bonus.

but..that's why they call it a Teaser right?. Mission accomplished.

Yeah, I don't care so much for the idea of a young Han movie, but I'm all over young Lando.

as a scifi adventure movie it looks great... as a Han Solo movie... eh... sorry haters, but Anthony Ingruber should be in this.
