Sounds like it was a nightmare shoot.

Trying to understand the bad chemistry here. Tom Hardy shows up 3 hours late. Theron gets angry, calls Hardy an expletive C word and berates him in front of the crew to which he responds by aggressively asking "Are you talking to me?" After that Theron doesn't feel safe, wants another female producer around at all times and claims sexism because his behavior is being excused. The headlines make it sound like Hardy was physically threatening her which is a whole lot different than a shouting match over tardiness which as annoying as that may be should be the producer and director's job to handle. She's getting paid whether she has to sit in her rig for 3 hours or not. He gets labeled as unprofessional but what about her behavior? I suppose if you bring that up you're being sexist too.

She’s nuts, and I’m happy her movie will never be made.

No. And the female producer was eventually banned from set as well. Theron admitted she should have treated folks better as well and they both sound like they were difficult, and contribute it in part to being hot and miserable.

Headlines != full story, but everyone knows that by now.
