It's speculation and I've admitted that I could be wrong about how he's acting without more context but when a trailer is presenting a character it should give a general idea of the tone they'll have in the film as a whole. To me it's a bit telling that we'll probably see a lot of angry Bruce/Batman throughout. Again I could be completely wrong but I'm basing it off of what the filmmakers decided to present in the trailer and am discussing that. Frankly I don't see what's wrong with that and am giving an opinion. Not saying that it's right or that people have to agree with it.
I never said there's anything wrong with your opinion, like I said I think it's just a flimsy argument and one that I thought both Snake and I already had rebuttals against. Personally though, the trailer and the portrayal of Bruce didn't tell me anything I already didn't know about the tone of the film.

No hard feelings. Like I said it's all speculation and opinion and I'm fine if people disagree. I'm just presenting my feelings and why I feel that way when people question things I say.

I get what Mike86 is saying.
The whole secret identity concept is one of the appealing aspects American superhero comics. Bruce Wayne is pretty much Batman in that scene. Defending Batman, making digs at Superman, and hinting strongly at the Joker.
From the trailer we don't see the duality that Mike mentioned. The more interesting but subtle elements of Batman and Superman seem like they're being eschewed in favor of explosions and cramming too many characters and concepts.
This one film has A LOT to introduce. They're borrowing from two big storylines (Death in the Family, The Dark Knight Returns, and The Death of Superman), introducing Batman AND setting up a conflict between him and Superman, and also introducing Lex Luthor. In addition to that they're also introducing Wonder Woman.

The Party/Charity Benefit/whatever it is scenes in the trailer are really pretty awful for several reasons.
For one thing, you have the world's greatest detective (supposedly) face to face with a being whose abilities are close to total omniscience. If either had any interest in identifying anyone, they should be able to do it- and fairly efficiently.
Add to that Luthor who is supposedly a tech whiz- which is a data variation on near total omniscience ability. Like Batman, except with different resources, if he wanted to crunch data and employ algorithms to divine an answer, he should be able to do it.
In other words, all three of these people should already be well aware of who at least one or the other is.
Secondly- by all appearances (the late hour it takes place, the flashy guests, the chamber orchestra warming up, the party atmosphere) this is a social function and not a business press event.
Because of that - why is Clark even there covering it? Wouldn't that be more up the alley of the papers social editor (y'know, someone who would actually know one of the richest men in the country on sight?). WTF is he even there?
Then to make matters even more stupid, why is he using that occasion to interrogate the richest man in the room on street crime matters in his hometown? How is that germane to the social function they find themselves at right now?
I totally understand where Mike is coming from in questioning why Bruce is so angry. It's not that we should be seeing Bruce falling into a fountain like a drunk playboy, it's why aren't we seeing him respond with something other than typical Batman speak.
It's the antithesis of the last trailer where we see Bruce witness the carnage and protect an innocent amidst the devastation being wrought by the alien uber-mensch.
there is nothing implied here. The entire trailer is at a pitch so that everything is explicitly spelled out for the simplest minds in the room, then underlined, then further wiped over with a florescent hi-lite marker.
This lack of nuance- combined with all the other angry, deadly seriousness on display- is why this trailer strikes me as hilariously cornball.

Maybe that's why i think it's so crazy that people are even bringing it up as a complaint here, as though it's some shock or surprise for this movie. In a stand alone Batman movie from Affleck sure, but in a Batman v Superman movie from Snyder I certainly don't.

The context is they are at a swanky social function (most likely the same one Gadot appears to be entering or leaving in the second trailer). What amount of tortured set-up dialogue is it going to take to even get us to this, everyone laying their cards on the table, exchange in the trailer?
the other context is- Man Of Steel was full of plenty stupid shit also that the same director and writer were apparently blind to.

well... it's a lot more pleasant to be around optimistic people
My criticisms are mainly leveled at the trailer as a trailer.
My overall expectations of the film haven't really wavered all that much- though they did peak a little after the last trailer, and even the knightmare clip. This trailer is putting them back for me at the level they were at when the film was first announced.

Re: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) (D: Snyder; S: Gadot)
Exactly, some of the comments here about Gadot's acting are a little extreme. She only has a handful of American films/shows on her resume and even on the Fast and Furious movies (3 that she's appeared on) she hasn't had any significant dialogue. It's not like Gisele was supposed to be a multi-layered character. All that she's been asked to do was look pretty on camera, put on a few bikinis and drive. As for Doomsday I think the bones will definitely be in the final movie. It would be such a missed opportunity if they didn't. Probably keep regrowing each time they are destroyed. The trailer is trying to keep some elements of surprise I am sure.
As for Bruce being angry, I don't mind it too much. A little played out now the Playboy Bruce Wayne. The older Bruce in the comics was portrayed as deadly serious.

As long as we're nitpicking, why does Clark ask Bruce about the "bat vigilante" like it's a new thing / breaking news? I thought Batman was well-established and retired in this continuity?

I had very little expectations for this movie but the trailer where Bruce tries to save the kid amidst the destruction of Metropolis impressed me.
I don't think it's crazy considering we're on a movie discussion forum and teasers and trailers are meant to get the public talking. We're being conditioned to keep our expectations and standards low. "OMG! It's Superman and Batman in the same movie!! What are you complaining for!?"

And that statement proves my point. She has so far had mainly roles that just expect her to strut around looking good. I prefer roles to be given as much on proven acting as much as fitting the role looks wise. And what I have seen her in has been like watching an oak table trying to act.
Maybe she had a great audition for the Producers and WB suits? I'm not going to write her off entirely because her U.S. resume doesn't have much substance. Apparently Gadot has a few decent roles from working in Israel. I'm sure she probably has an acting coach to help her improve her acting, especially since english isn't her 1st language. She must have done something right to beat out other candidates for the role. I doubt she was the only one brought in to audition for Diana/Wonder Woman.

Re: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) (D: Snyder; S: Gadot)
I appreciate Nolan's approach to the material even more now after seeing this trailer. I don't like how Synder likes to translate the comic directly to screen versus adapting it. 300 was great but I didn't read the comic, and I felt the way it was shot made it feel more like a Greek myth, whereas in Watchmen, he made a more realistic approach to superheroes less realistic. Ironic because he was pattering the scenes almost directly from the panels. His approach reminds of comic book artists in the 90s who learned how to draw people by copying comic book artists, instead of studying real life.
I might just see it for Irons and Gadot though. The former was in Dead Ringers, and Gadot looks great and has a smile that fits the nature of WW. Never seen her acting except in some seen where she's at the beach and she manages to turn the head of a guy in Brazil who's already surrounded by women with far better bodies. I'll have to see if she has any non-action roles.

Yeah. Fast Five. That scene was ridiculously stupid. Even for that franchise. Gadot doesn't have the ass to compare to the "stereotypical" Brazilian ass of the women there.

I never get this complaint, but maybe that's because i'd certainly turn to look at Gadot and don't need a big booty to necessarily look at.

There were better asses of many sizes than Gadot. Gadot is a attractive but her ass wasn't much to compare to the standard ass they cast in this franchise for those moments.
