S.W.A.T.: Under Siege (2017)
Stars Sam Jaeger from Parenthood and Adrianne Palicki from Agents of Shield.
Michael Jai White also has a small part in it.
2nd straight to video sequel to S.W.A.T (2003) This time the movie takes place in Seattle. It's Die Hard at a SWAT station. Terrorists attack the station to try to apprehend a mysterious man (Michael Jai White) apprehended by the Seattle SWAT team during a drug raid.
I actually thought this was not bad. It's a very serviceable action movie. Plus the 2 leads (Jaeger and Palicki) are actually decent actors. MJW had some decent fight scenes.
I think this is something to watch if you're in the mood for a short, straight to the point action movie. Runs about 89 minutes total.

It seems Miles Teller was miscast in that movie though Eckhard did a great job though maybe the movie bombed and Eckhart might not receive a Oscar nomination.
Too bad we will never see Hoffman direct a movie again.

The Great Wall - The Matt Damon film. My dad still rents from Netflix and I am visiting so that was a fun way to kill a couple of hours.

Dunkirk...No character development. Just scenes strung together. You didn't care about anyone except Hardy the fighter pilot. His expressions and you saw it in his eyes. There was just no story, no nothing. I cared nothing for boy who died. Much better WWII movies out there. This is 1 and done. Hacksaw Ridge was last great WWII. This was not it. Nice to look at and Zimmer's score was pretty good. Too bad.

War For The Planet Of The Apes. Yay for the sad yet happy ending. I also thought the little girl who the Apes rescued on the road was awesome.

Salt and Fire - a Werner Herzog film with Michael Shannon. Pretty weird (probably to be expected) and not very good. Early in the film, one character introduces himself as Aristedis. I thought, "That guy kinda looks like the physicist and author Lawrence Krauss. But he's not an actor, can't be him." Later, another character refers to him as "Krauss" so I looked it up on IMDB and, sure enough, it was him! Playing himself, I guess? So strange. And he's a horrible actor. But I liked his book that I read (The Science of Star Trek) and I even went to see him give a talk at TCU once.

Song to Song (2017) — God I hate Terrence Malick. This is a two-hour long perfume commercial. With Val Kilmer going crazy and taking chainsaw to a speaker; that was the highlight and only lasted 20 seconds. 0.5/5

Watched Justice League: Dark today and I liked it. This was the first direct to video Justice League animated movie that I have seen. I enjoyed how adult that it was. I think this would make a good live action movie or series now that the New Mutants movie is going to be a horror film. I would like to see a super hero/horror hybrid. 3.25/5

I just finished watching Risky Business for the first time and I really liked it. It's one of those movies that kind of slipped through the cracks for me. I was born the year it came out (1983). It was great to see Curtis Armstrong and Bronson Pinchot in this. According to IMDB, this was their first film credit. Also, Joe Pantoliano and Richard Masur were really good in this. I'm sad I didn't watch it when I was younger. One more thing, Rebecca De Mornay Wow! I looked her up on IMDB and she stills look good. 4.5/5
