The Purge: Anarchy (2014)

The characters I thought were annoying during the Theatrical Run were still annoying. Still, it's a mostly fun time which is definitely helped by Frank Grillo.

The Transporter: Refueled (2015): Crappy reboot of the series.

Thank God I watched it for free on Amazon Video with a free credit.

Close Range (2015): Low budget action movie starring Scott Adkins as a loner/ex-soldier fighting corrupt cops and Mexican gangsters.

Watchable if you're a B movie/Adkins fan, but very forgettable.

12 Rounds 3: Lockdown (2015): Low budget WWE action movie. In name only sequel to the series that started with John Cena.

I didn't like the lead, Dean Ambrose, but I thought it was a watchable B action movie. There's a few recognizable actors from Canada like Roger Cross from Dark Matter and 24.

It was a free rental from Red Box and not a bad way to kill 90 minutes if you're a B action movie fan.

Jade - 3.5/5

A San Francisco DA gets caught up in a web of deception when investigating the brutal death of a wealthy art collector who was into blackmail. A sleazy thriller from the writer of Basic Instinct and Showgirls who's saving grace is William Friedkin's direction. Boy does that man know how to film a tense car chase.

Only Lovers Left Alive - 1.5/5

The existential lives of an intellectual vampire couple become disrupted when the woman's mischievous younger sister pays them a visit. As a fan of Jim Jarmusch this was very disappointing and uninteresting. A Twilight for hipsters that doesn't go anywhere and feels like it lasts an eternity.

Erasing Hate - 4/5

A former Neo-Nazi skinhead goes through a painful procedure to have the racist tattoos removed from his face and neck. In between the sessions he discusses his past, how he became involved in the movement and what made him change his ways. A good documentary that shows how people can change their lives for the better.

I Smile Back...thought Sarah Silverman did a good job, but too maudlin for it's own good and just didn't really go anywhere, which i am sure was the point.

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

star Wars - although all the ingredients have been seen before, the entertainment value of this one is way above any of the prequels and rivals the first one. Daisy Ridley is cute as a bugs ear as pulls off the action role perfectly while still looking very feminine.

Tales of Halloween (2015)

I think critics were hard on this. I enjoyed most of the shorts.

17 Girls - 1.5/5

A high school girl gets pregnant and decides to keep the child. She then convinces her other schoolmates to join her in becoming pregnant in order to make some kind of statement to the adults in their lives. I guess people will do just about anything for attention, too bad I didn't care one bit about any of them.

Blue Caprice - 4/5

Psychological drama based on the true events of the Beltway Sniper killings. An unhinged older man becomes a father figure to a young man who was abandoned by his mother. After caring for him like a son, he then uses the young man as an accomplice to channel his rage at the world. Very chilling film about how the weak can be easily taken advantage of.

Fuckin' great movie.

Just watched Bone Tomahawk. Excellent western/horror with some horrific violence.

The Devil's Rejects (2005)

I love this film. Though I have to admit, Robert Kurtzman & his production company did some shoddy CG work on the film.

Ten Thousand Saints

Ethan Hawke was pretty funny in this movie and the polar opposite of his character in Boyhood.
