The wording is kind of nebulous, but even then they're going to restrict blockbusters.

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: THE DEAD SHALL RISE]

Today, my local cinema has 33 showings throughout the day for 10 different movies.

Here, at 11am, Moviepass shows me "There are no more screenings at this theater today."
what a fucking joke. If this doesn't change when the "new plan" starts, I'm done with this shit. Haven't been able to use MP for a full week since returning from vacation because of showtimes disappearing 5 or 6 hours before they actually start.

I don't think anyone is able to watch anything but Slenderman today. Anyone see anything different?

The theory is that only MI will be available tomorrow, since they sent an email out saying "see Slenderman on Monday and MI on Tuesday."

Yep, early this morning all kinds of things were showing. Now nothing. Just when I thought the service couldn't get more ridiculous, they prove me wrong.

I just checked every cinema in the Houston area that shows up in the app for me. You're right... it's Slenderman or nothing. Only exception is cinemas that do eticketing with MP. Those show everything (I think) playing.

I see. That's some dumb shit... but it may convince me to see MI tomorrow although I still haven't watched my copy of the previous one.

A bit of a spoiler but M:I Fallout picks up where M:I Rogue Nation left off.

Finally happened to me, too. Everything was showing up. Was going to take my daughter to Christopher Robin today, as it's my day off and she's with me. Glad I was keeping it a surprise because the only thing showing up is Slender Man (except for eticking Landmark Cinemas). Post-noon matinees in our area already jump up to at least $10 for a children's ticket and I'm not doing that.

I've really tried to hang in there. There's at least 1-2 months when I didn't see a movie at all, at least 1-2 when I only saw 1. They broke even on me, pretty sure. I think I just may have to drop this. AMC is looking better every day. While I'll miss the other options in my area (the Showplace ICON is incredible), there's an AMC 5 minutes away. It's becoming a done deal, in my mind.

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: THE DEAD SHALL RISE]

I just received this e-mail today. Apparently if you cancelled, but are still trying to use the app until cancellation and accepted their new terms (with the new 3 movie plan), it over-rides the cancellation. So you have to re-cancel again.

and yes, I re-canceled.

Hi XXXXX

We received your confirmation for your new MoviePass plan. Some exciting updates are coming on the first day of your next billing cycle, 2018-08-23.

Your new membership will include up to three standard movies a month for $9.95, and you will also be eligible for $2.00 to $5.00 off any additional movie tickets purchased within the billing cycle. Discounts on additional tickets will be calculated by various factors including geography and the movie title. The remaining balance for the ticket will be charged to the credit card linked to your MoviePass account.

We're suspending Ticket Verification and Peak Pricing. Read more about these exciting updates at the link here.

We're excited to have you on this journey with us. Your endless support, understanding and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated.

Please note: if you had previously requested cancellation prior to opting-in, your opt-in to the new plan will take priority and your account will not be cancelled.

See you at the movies,
The MoviePass Team

And here’s an email I just got:

Important Information About HMNY

Hi Michael,

We're reaching out to let you know that within the next few days you won't be able to purchase shares of HMNY on Robinhood. You can continue to hold and sell the shares you currently own, but you won't be able to buy any additional shares.

In order to protect our customers from the risks associated with some low-priced stocks, we remove the buy option for stocks like HMNY that consistently trade under $0.10.

If you have specific questions about your account, please let us know. We're happy to help!

Sincerely,
The Robinhood Team

Fortunately I haven't opened up the app since I cancelled. That's crazy that they're un-cancelling who are still trying to finish up their months.

Weird, the day my sub ran out after I cancelled, I tried to log in and couldn't (I actually thought it would be good for one more day). Maybe that's a recent, crappy change they made.

I'm seeing the same thing with Slender Man at non-eticketing theaters, but as I have an e-ticketing option that is nearby and viable, I'm probably sticking this one out until the bitter end.

Well, it is what everyone has been asking to have for three weeks. Prayers have been answered. Back on the road to 5 million subs.

So is it 3 movies a month that you can see or is it 3 movies per month that MP picks for you to chose to see? The first is still a decent deal the second would never be worth signing up for.

The article is showing an error that say "Failed to cancel account", which people are getting when they try to cancel again.

You have to wait until they send you the email letting you know that your sub will continue. Should come like 3 days before your billing date. I tried doing it before this when someone mentioned it and it wouldn't let me. It is all very shady. I went through it yesterday and was able to cancel again.

Some of the ones in the pictures didn't select the reason either.

Looks like the movie of the day is "MI: Fallout."
