NSYNC was in AOTC weren't they? It was just cut during editing. This bothers me too because I think this is the kind of casting that could easily take you out of a film. Or it could simply be a case of "that was her???"

We'll see.

Her real name is Stefani Germanotta, and yes she is quite attractive as herself.

Is that one of her High School photos? She looks about 16 in it. She is cute in it though. Shame she doesn't choose to look like a normal human being more often. I heard she did some acting in an episode of The Sopranos when she was a kid. It would be cool if QT could sneak her into the movie like that and use her real name in the credits to have people wondering who it was. Of course if he cast her the media blitz following the decision would make it impossible.

Still no link to the script? Or a PM for a big QT fan? :D

The Sopranos (TV series)
Girl at Swimming Pool #2
– The Telltale Moozadell (2001) … Girl at Swimming Pool #2 (uncredited)

10 years ago so she would have been around 14 or 15, dunno how much acting you get done under the title "Girl at Swimming Pool #2".

Jamie Foxx would be great.

Holy shit..that would work. Still kinda wish for Elba though..he's...just so cool.

I'm not sure Django was ever "intended" for Smith.

Foxx would be a good choice. He's got that laid-back star presence and he's a great reactor, which is what Django needs to be.

The latter section w/ Candie, The German, and Django were the moments where I totally saw that Elba face come into play strongly...

BUT...Foxx could do just as well if not better.

How cool is your family? For instance, if the new Quentin Tarantino movie opened on Christmas Day, would you have to ditch the folks for a couple hours, or could you bring them along? The Weinstein Company will put these family ties to the test with a December 25, 2012 release date for Django Unhcained [Box Office Mojo]. Production is scheduled for later this summer or early fall.

Jamie Foxx is a much better choice than Will Smith, I like that casting if it comes true.

As for the release date, Chrismas Day feels like a place holder, if it is ready for that time of year I wouldn't be surprised to see it a week or two earlier.

Not sure how I feel about Django releasing during that time...

DiCaprio I can see because he looks malnourished, and Jamie Foxx is thin, too - In the Old West, there wasn't much in the way of cholesterol. You had a beer gut, if anything. There was no obesity in the 1800's. You were either walking, running, or riding a horse.

Solid Snake 06-15-11 08:47 AM

re: Django Unchained - Quentin Tarantino spaghetti western

Really? No obesity?

There were fat fucks in the 1800s...

In Arizona? I can see fat people in the Cities, but not in the Old West. People didn't just sit around and eat.

Rich people. Rich People had people doing the work...sometimes...they were fat...cuz they didn't physically do anything to work it off. So...in Candie's case..that could be truth.

Anthony Anderson could probably do it if he had the right physique. See his work on The Shield...some amazing work.

Oddly enough...I don't watch TV much but when he was on there the 1st time I watched cuz it was so crazy of me to see him play a role like that..he surprised me. Other than that...that's the only time i liked him...I think.

Yeah on the commentary people were praising him. He said that a lot of the time, comedians and other similar entertainers come from a dark place, and they can escape with their stand up, and humorous acting...but they can draw from the dark experiences to make the transition to dramatic acting.

Wasn't that the opening date for True Grit? Tons of people go to the movie on Christmas night, it's a good way to get away from the family you've been around all day.

Plus, it could be a limited opening on Christmas to qualify for the Oscars, with later openings elsewhere.
