Yes, they should all wear business suits and act completely seriously while discussing comic books.

Actually...if there was the same thing but a bit more serious about the subject matter ie film. I'd be excited.

Yeah, a group of fans gathering to discuss comic books should always be super serious. Comics books are serious business.

Nobody wants to see cosplay, especially not cosplay like this:

You failed to understand what I was aiming at. Film. The actual production. The film itself. I admire some of the questions asked cuz as a fan it'd be something I'd wonder possibly. Just dislike the environment.

If one attends FilmCon, then that is a reasonable expectation. This, however, was ComicCon.

also not to downplay their attractiveness...I've got no point admiring it as wildly as some of the people that go to it unless I'm actively going to fuck this or that girl there (in the pictures). Which most of those people aren't going to.

FilmCon..somehow..that's alluded me.

You are probably the only straight guy (I am assuming you are straight) that does not like to admire the female form regardless of whether or not you have any actual chance of scoring with them.

Not to mention that most of the time these women are cos-models, not cos-players.

To be fair, for most attendees this is the only time of year they get that close to a pretty girl.

So what are the odds the trailer will be online tomorrow? Really want to see how good this looks. I only say tomorrow because of hearing that it will be played before the dark knight rises.

/\ I'd imagine that there will be bootlegs tomorrow (or even later today), but WB probably won't release an official trailer until Monday.

Re: Superman: The Man of Steel (D: Snyder)

As much as Nolan's Batman trilogy was dark/depressing, I hope they go with the heroic/uplifting slant for Superman. That doesn't mean we can't get an origin film where the public distrusts him at first, but I don't think Clark Kent goes through the psychological angst that Bruce Wayne does, and therefore I'm hoping we get a Superman that's truly super, as opposed to one that doubts himself.

Re: Superman: The Man of Steel (D: Snyder)

Where that's the difference between the two. Superman is all about Hope. It may have a more "realistic" approch logic but Supes is all about Hope and Heart. No matter wtf is going on, his conflicts etc..he's able to rise. From what I can get from all this..he needs an understanding of what he is to himself..and from there it builds. His signification as a symbol etc etc. blah blah.

Too late, there are rumors the fundamental conflict of the upcoming movie will be more about Superman vs. the U.S. military than Zod. Despair has beaten out hope.

Guess you guys will just have to be satisfied with the 10+ other Superhero movies released every year that satisfy your desires for some dumbed down, happy and hopeful superheroes, including every single movie based on a Marvel character.

Technically, that woman dressed as Lara Croft doesn't count as cosplay since she's Alison Carroll, the last official Lara Croft model.

Blade hasn't been a part of the cinematic Marvel universe since they got the rights back.

He's too sad and dark.

I can't tell if your tone is sarcasm or not.
