No one was asking for another Raimi Spider-Man movie after SM3 either, hyuk hyuk. Raimi's Spidey movies suck and his fans have deluded themselves in to thinking they're masterpieces like Burton fans have deluded themselves in to thinking Burton's two Batman films were masterpieces. It's sad.

I certainly didn't find him impressive or convincing in the Immortals.
I won't disagree that Reeve gave an amazing performance, but I still think Cavill looks more like Supes than Reeve did.

I love that they brought back the big 'S' on the chest. The tiny 'S' on Routh's costume was cringe worthy.

I won't disagree that Reeve gave an amazing performance, but I still think Cavill looks more like Supes than Reeve did.
But he doesn't even have Superman's trademark curl. We'll just have to disagree on this one. I will agree that his physique is more like Superman's than Reeve, but from the neck up, Reeve has him beat.

None of this matters of course. This film will rest on Cavill's performance and Snyder's ability, and I'm not sure how much faith I have in either. If the film is good, it's probably because Nolan had more creative input/control than he let on. I'm just not sure Snyder is that capable. He's capable at slow motion. The trailers look pretty good though.

It's a classy way of saying dick. Just like sloppy, wet pussy is a polite way to say vagina.

It was only terribly mediocre. I'd rather see a terrible movie like Uwe Boll's House of the Dead again then The Amazing Spider-man again because at least Boll's is interesting in that train wreck aspect and ASM is only interesting if you were a Spider-Man villain so that you could finally see him fail like a wet fart.

I wouldn't say Raimi's Spider-Man films are masterpieces but Spider-Man 2 at least is still pretty enjoyable. Spider-Man is okay too if you ask me. I'd take either over The Amazing Spider-Man personally.

That movie was just not very interesting to me and felt pretty unnecessary. Garfield never sold me with his performance as Parker or Spidey. I didn't love Tobey Maguire either but he at least portrayed the geeky kid better I thought. Not to mention The Lizard looked like ass on screen. Seriously I don't think they could have made that character design less interesting. The only thing I really did like from The Amazing Spider-Man is I thought Emma Stone was good as Gwen.

If they gave us mad scientist Luthor, I'd love it. The closest we got to that is Superman IV. The other movies were mad real estate agent Luthor.

This is a manly Superman with chest hair and the whole nine yards (no pun intended).
