Gosh, I'm hoping they don't cut out the tornado sequence because of recent events in OK. Studios are fickle like that, and that footage looks awesome.

Just got back from Star Trek and couldn't help thinking how fucking incredible Benedict Cumberbatch would have been as the new Zod.

Yeah, Shannon will be incredible. I'm hoping he pulls something like he did in Take Shelter.

Granted when he yells "I WILL FIND HIM" gives me chills, so there's no doubt as to the badassery that awaits. 3 more weeks, baby.

The more I see the trailers, the more I think that Brainiac (and Luthor most definitely) will make an appearance and be instrumental in the conflict on Krypton. That tripod spaceship, the battles going on during the Krypton scenes, and the fact that the filmmakers want to surprise the audiences kinda sorta lead to this...
...of course, I could be wrong...

I think it just reached a point by the late sixties where it was assumed (in the DC universe at least) that super heroes would do this sort of thing and it was pointless to end stories on that note.
Clearly DC universe heroes just had better parents than Marvel heroes did.
You know... the whole "clean up after yourself", "be responsible", etc., etc., mindset that parents raised children with back then.Marvel "heroes" all seem to be products of broken homes... or a deranged parent or two (with delusions of grandeur) willing to experiment on their own children.

I was re-watching that newest trailer with the many money shots (Kryptonian army invasion) and noticed the scene of Superman hugging his mother and it reminded me of All Star Superman (which I think is the best animated Suprman animated standalone film) in that I'm assuming will be hitting the same emotional beats as the cartoon flick did. Honestly, All Star Superman had a couple of scenes that made me get all emotional and shit. Mainly that one scene where he visits Smallville and hugs his mother goodbye. It's powerful stuff - and am thinking they will be using it in MOS.

I wasn't very excited about this when it was announced, and even during the production, but that has ALL changed. The marketing has been spectacular and I seriously can't wait to see how this turns out.

Good grief! Are we still in the same thread where people were complaining about how badly Warner was dropping the ball in regards to marketing this movie. I could have sworn that was just a few weeks ago.
Doesn't anyone want to talk about how bad the Deadliest Catch teaser still is?
I miss those days

Some type of animal that Jor-El uses for travel. We saw him use it in the third trailer, I think. You know...the super badass one.
