I felt it really did fit with his character. I haven't seen the movie in like 2 years, but my thoughts were this is how Peter thought he should act when he was pissed off. He didn't actually know, so he gloms onto emo. He's an emo-poser, which is what I really found funny.

I don't understand all the love for A Simple Plan. I couldn't get past the 3/4 mark. Just boring characters. I didn't care what happened to them at the end. Or maybe I did see it to the end, I don't know. Either way it wasn't a memorable movie for me.
I grew up watching the Evil Dead movies and love them, but I have a soft spot for the great cast in The Quick and the Dead. Second would be Evil Dead 2, then Drag Me To Hell.
Raimi might not be 5 star director, but he knows how to keep you entertained.
The sound field on Evil Dead 2 and Drag me to Hell are amazing by the way.
