Superman. I like sections of what Richard Donner did with the character, but for the most part I have yet to find any of the Man of Steel's cinematic outings particularly satisfying.

A Nightmare on Elm Street, or to be honest, any long running horror series. The characters are usually great, but the movies are mostly garbage.

Again with NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. I watched the bushel of them over the last week and was disappointed how terrible the majority of them were. I wound up fast forwarding most of the movies just to get to the Freddy scenes.

Jason Statham's Frank Martin in the Transporter series. First movie was fine, the others...not so fine. He's great in the role and the character is fascinating, I just wish they'd come up with better scripts--or just keep it to action scenes. That whole romance-with-the-Russian chick subplot in the last one was just deadly.

Transporter 2 was fun and knew exactly what it wanted to be. Transporter 3 was a turd.

Kakihara in "Ichi the Killer" is a lot cooler than the movie, the animated film, the prequel and Ichi himself.
