Also, I find it weird that if all these heroes are in the same city, they don't really cross over much except for events. For example, Rhino could be trashing midtown & nothing stops him until Spiderman shows up. In reality, you'd think Avengers & FF would be alerted to this guy busting stuff & they'd go to stop him instead of waiting for Spiderman to take care of it since Rhino is Spidey's villian.
Not so. Villains crossover. It's more common now than it was in the past..but it still happened.

Also the heroes crossed over as well. The Human Torch would do it at times in the past. Again..it's more common now.

No. I just don't understand how one can physically change into a still physically intact body, and in fact gaining mass...but somehow a man's dick just disappears. I can believe a guy turning into The Lizard under the right concept...but not a man's dick disappearing and just nothing being mentioned of it. This is why you keep the character wearing clothes. You assume he still has everything and his new arm.

If he has the traits of a reptile, then I can see where is dong gets hidden by folds of scaly skin for protection. You turn a croc over and he has a small slit that keeps his junk tucked in.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

Characters crossed over all the time, even back then in the 60s. The Fantastic Four were in the very first Amazing Spider-Man issue. The Human Torch especially crossed over frequently. Daredevil appeared in an early issue as well. Spidey met Dr Strange in the second annual and tried to join the Avengers were in the third annual. The first appearance of Green Goblin ended up in a battle inside a cave where Hulk was hiding.

As for Jameson's hatred, he does hate all superheroes. Its just that the Avengers and Fantastic Four are government funded, so he doesn't publicly smear them like he does with Spidey. As for why Jameson hates them, its essentially because they are the opposite of him. They are selfless and he is a money grubbing capitalist. (Its also pretty much why Lex Luthor hates Superman in the post-Crisis Byrne era.)

No. But they basically turned Captain Stacey into J Jonah Jameson.

Maybe the Bugle will be like TMZ in the sequel? Parker gets a bunch of upskirt and nip slip pics and sells them to pay his bills.

Good point, that aspect of the character is quickly becoming outdated.

What..what did Parker end up doing in the Ultimate universe? Was he still doing photos? I know instead of the science nerd w/ a science kit. He was still a nerd but he did web pages now.

In the Ultimate universe, he works part time after school designing the Bugle's website. He isn't a photographer at all.

In the main universe, he hasn't been a photographer for quite some time. During the JMS era, he became a high school teacher.

I doubt if the Bugle appears at all in the movie though. As someone else said, JJJ's character has essentially been rolled into Captain Stacy. (Which I really hate because Captain Stacy was nothing at all like JJJ in the comics.)

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

according to Devin Farci, all the references to Peter being a genetic experiment of his father have been removed from the film as per the recent NYC screening.

Also, the embargo on reviews might be lifted this week. DF says word of mouth afterward was mixed, with the biggest Spidey fan he knows telling him he thought it was a travesty.

The Bugle isn't in the movie; Parker is a jobless high school student who tinkers with photography.

Oh wow, that's significantly shorter than the Raimi films. Did anything feel rushed?

News outlets would still need photos for their online articles.

Yeah, but not many outlets are actually sending somebody out to take an original photo. The media shares photos, that's why you always see the same image used on every channel. Half the time they just use a mugshot provided to them by the police.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

Spidey fans calling it a travesty , doesn't surprise me.

Maybe Parker gets some shots of a naked celebrity, like Emma Stone, and sells them.

Over at blu-ray.com he was bitching about how Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is only 101 minutes long. I was glad to see he still has his standards.

What? No!

This is almost as bad as Superman's now smaller dong looking bigger due to a lack of red trunks than the huge dong he used to have when he wore red trunks that obscured his massive dick size.
