Me neither. Macy Grey is as relevant now as she ever was!

I'll take a Power Rangers Goblin over a Goomba Lizard.

I think my biggest problem with this movie - as a fan of all the Raimi flicks, even the much maligned part 3 - is that it didn't HAVE to be a reboot just because they recast the main role. Series have certainly replaced actors in the past. I'd dig seeing Spidey vs. the Lizard, and they'd briefly established Curt Connors as a character already. But going back to the whole well of Uncle Ben, throwing in some conspiracy with his parents, etc. only 10 years after the first movie seems superflous, as if there's contempt for an audience's attention spans these days. As a fan of Spidey in the comics for 30 years I know I'll end up seeing the movie, but I wish these trailers made me have more of a reaction than "meh." (I do like the casting of Garfield, though.)

Looks superior in every way to the previous three, bring it on.

At least Garfield's nowhere near as bad as Casey Affleck in Killer Inside Me.

Spider-Man 2 still holds up completely. The first one is not nearly as good now.

Strongly agree.

I liked the Spidey humor in the cab. That was one thing that Raimi never really it on right with. The guy is uncomfortable w/ doing what he's doing fearing the worst. His coping mechanism? Crack jokes to appear cocky and unafraid.

I liked the trailer. except for the last part where he's atop that building w/o the mask. I don't mind that the cops tried to get it off him but he beats them and runs off to not be seen..that was cool.

The one thing I detested the most from Raimi was using MJ as victim in the end. It was like..seriously? Every damn time? nobody's going to notice that 3 times a redhead has been kidnapped in relation to Spidey?!

Neither holds up. SM2 is worse for being unbearably cloying. It has some good set pieces but the drama is extremely forced and hammy. It got worse each time I saw it to the point that the DVD is somewhere in my house collecting dust.

Spoiler:
Until the last cop he faces and he shows himself because it's Capt. Stacy. Why oh why do they always feel the need to have the hero reveal themselves as a way to impress/gain trust in the girl? I don't recall Superman doing that to Lois until Superman II.

Hmmm i like the look of this film better than Raimi's but the big selling point for me here is probably Leary in what I hope is a fairly sizable role. ALso the Lizard design and CG I feel like I am gonna have problems with.
But I prob. wont complain too much considering Raimi's first film is not very good. Easily the worst of his trilogy

Looks good to me. I've never been a big Spider-Man fan but I liked 1, LOVED 2, and loathed 3. For Spider-Man, just give me a fun, entertaining movie that doesn't insult my intelligence, and I'm good.

We don't know yet if he shows it Stacy yet. Stacy is the that unmasks him but Spidey takes him out as well. Soooo depending on where that shot of Spidey in the light is...maybe. We aren't confirmed yet.

Also yes...I would like Spidey to keep his shit secret.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

I wonder if Norman Osborn is in this movie. We know that Curt Connors and Richard Parker are employees of OsCorp, so I wonder if Norman will have at least a cameo role. Maybe it will set up the sequel with the Green Goblin as the villain? The real Green Goblin and not the Power Ranger Goblin bastardization. It would be nice to see "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" adapted to the big screen.

Spoiler:
No. Only mentioned but never seen. If anything, and there's a way to explain it, I say that Proto Goblin could be the next villain.

Trailer looks good for what it's selling. I'll see it and then make judgement. But I will see it.

My two cents:

Don't like the costume eyes, Lizard effects look questionable, Garfield seems like a waifish girl, Rhys and Emma Stone look good, I can take or leave Leary and the "conspiracy" stuff seems really dumb.

I'll wait for reviews before seeing it. And definitely not in 3D.

I don't get what the problem is. Is it really so hard to believe that a huge corporation like OsCorp is doing top secret projects they don't want the public to know about. Its certainly more believable than getting bitten by a radioactive spider and getting the powers of a spider. Its also a heck of a lot better than Richard and Mary's comic book origin where they were secretly CIA spies killed by Red Skull.

Garfield seems like a waifish girl
Peter isn't supposed to be a big muscular guy. He is a skinny nerd. Flash always called him "Puny" Parker for a reason.
