The end of Batman Begins has Gordon saying something along those lines.

And probably a few hundred Batman comics. I've seen it come up a ton.

True...BB was something I could pinpoint. Comicwise and B:TAS...joker makes a big note of it. As do some other characters.

though....there are VERY made and crafted scenes like Doc Ock at the hospital and others....thankfully there are more solid moments over bad moments.

The film is good but it's a bit unbalanced to consider it great. Also i hate typing from my PS3 but my pc is dead atm...so typos are around.

I don't think so to your "I don't think so." Spider-Man 2 is certainly the best super hero movie I've ever seen. Of course Spider-Man is going to save MJ, that's why her character exists. Perfect amount of Raimi humor (I love the beginning with the pizza delivery), the aunt May/Doc Ock moment is great, corny dialogue fits perfectly in this kind of movie and of course Ock's wife death is as predictable as Spider-Man saving the day, it's the catalyst to Ock's drive to the dark side. I wish all comic-book movies could be as great as Spider-Man 2.

I have to agree. Though I don't know if it's best superhero movie ever I'd say it's top 3.

I actually find Spider-Man 2 incredibly corny and all the drama is forced and cloying. It just gets worse every time I watch it.

Spidey 2 is one of my favorites still too; actually, additional sequels in X2 and Dark Knight probably round out my faves. The only thing I didn't like is the Aunt May/Doc Ock abduction, and the Spidey unmasking thing on the train. Everything else was fantastic.

Well considering SHIELD doesn't belong to Sony....I don't think so.

They can still do it without explicitly mentioning SHIELD.

Yeah, I don't think his parents being spies requires SHIELD.

It would have been better if they worked for

Spoiler:
Dick Jones.

Does SHIELD even have spies? Seems like all their operatives are pretty out in the open.

x3 and I thought the same could be said for Thor as well.

Looks like Sony dropped the ball by not going with a "multi-cultural" Spider-Man.

Re: Spider-Man (2012, Marc Webb)

Though I am a fan of this reboot, I will say that Sony didn't deliver a great preview here. It's too long and dour... whether that's representative of the film or not, the trailer should've been more triumphant and upbeat... even the logo at the end is limp and unimpressive.

In the trailer Spider-Man jumping roofs and the first person perspective, everything looks like a video game for Playstation 3.

In the new Avengers cartoon, Black Widow is a double agent spy.

I would think it would be called the Spectacular Spider-Man.

I'm already over this movie.

Let's start speculation on what we'll see in the sequel!
