Some news:
Using the "Harry Potter" films as a model, Schuler-Donner says "First Class" should not be a "kiddie movie."

So that's three X-Men projects supposedly in development, none of them a sequel to the existing series...I'm thinking Fox has no idea what to do with this franchise.
That said, this one shows the most promise.

X-Men is my favorite comic book property but I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel the films are getting stale. Until Fox loses the rights and they revert back to Marvel I won't be pumped for another film unless somehow this happens to blow me out of the water. I'll follow development and see what happens.

I'm looking forward to this especially since Josh Schwartz is penning the script. The guy is a Pop Culture geek judging by his work on Chuck, Gossip Girl and The OC and I think he will bring a fresh spin to this franchise.
Singer coming back to work with FOX and the Producers of X-Men is Icing on the cake.

Any chance he could "re-imagine" X-Men: The Last Stand and finish what he started?

I'm confirming I don't care.
Seriously, I really don't want to see a movie like this. Maybe, if they could do it right. But something tells me this is going to be The OC with mutants.

Yes, it is less valid. Is he or she going to post "Whatever" in every thread they doesn't give a shit about? How about elaborating why they don't care, at the very least. Like KillerCannibal did above.

Seriously? You are actually defending this?? I would just assume that if someone doesn't respond to a thread, they don't care or aren't interested. The "whatever" is like pissing on our party. The people who ARE excited and looking forward to this.

If you say so. I just don't see how agreeing with you with no details is acceptable but disagreeing with no details is threadcrapping. It's a thread about the project. The project elicits responses. They're all valid.

I don't follow the comics at all so will this one feature more of the same mutants that have been in the previous movies or all new ones from the comics?

And I liked all the X-Men movies so far.
