^^And therein lies the meaning of the film's title.
I've been thinking that since "Begins" was more fantasy-based while "TDK" was more grounded, this film will probably be more of a balance. The best elements of both previous films.

Sounds like the plot of when Bane first appeared in the comic except it was a different person who took over.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

Outside of an animated movie, I never want to see JPV in any Batman feature, which may sound weird coming from a huge Azrael fan, but I'm just not sure he "works" real well in live-action... especially not if they just create a completely different character and give them his name.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
A full Knightfall storyline would be fun to see, but that seems like it would have to be a three movie arc in itself, and I don't imagine that happening. I haven't read any of the spoilers here, but I trust this won't be as butchered as the Phoenix Saga was for X3.

I read the Knightfall storyline and ended it when JPV took over. Question:
I think a cool opening would be

this isn't from the movie or anything, but DC commissioned famous F1 designer to create a Batmobile.

I'm hearing that that teaser is a fake. I'm not saying it is but I think the reaction is too much for it to be real. So....i'm iffy if it's real or not.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Just curious, but how would someone make that? Use an existing bootleg trailer clip as a template and insert their custom shitty teaser over the screen?

If there was massive cheering at the end, that might be a little suspect, but if it's a fake, I think they cued the appropriate canned responses to it.
The only thing that makes me suspicious is- why would they be taking video of the trailers in the first place. Did they expect a trailer for something special? For no other reason, that alone would make it seem to be staged.
The other thought was that someone had made it up and then was playing it back on a home display- so that would help mask the rough edges- but the sound of the people seems to take place in a venue much larger than someones living room or basement- so I'm inclined to believe it's legit.
Besides, based on the response of audiences to the last film, Nolan could make the equivalent of The Phantom Menace and first run audiences will be cheering wildly at every calculated applause line. Any response to any material from this film is going to heavily influenced by anticipation more so than intrinsic quality.

It's a fake.
According to http://batman-news.com:
According to http://batman-news.com:
If you guys need any further proof that this is fake, one need look no further than the green band MPAA warning. It says “The Following Preview Has Been Approved For All Audiences.” About a year (and change) ago, the MPAA changed their phrasing, and all big green band trailers now say “The Following Preview Has Been Approved For Appropriate Audiences.” For a quick example, just check out last night’s Harry Potter trailer. Or check out the Green Lantern trailers. Or anything else of recent (again, within a year and a bit) release…LOL. Even Inception had “appropriate” as opposed to “all.” For more reference, TDK’s teaser, from 2007, understandably had “all.”

Not if the trailer ran in front of a midnight showing of Green Lantern. Most fans who show up to midnight screenings are big fans of whatever they're about to watch. A hopped up house ful of comic book folks would most definitely shoot their load over this one.
