re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)

catwoman is, imo, the most interesting batman character not named batman or the joker. Nolan could easily make her realistic and fascinating.

"Nolan has been intent on keeping his Gotham City film firmly rooted in a gritty gangland realism"-ohbfrank-
Please. There was nothing gritty, nor realistic about Nolan's gangland in TDK. His attempts at "gangland realism" were the most hackneyed, cliched, ridiculously heavy handed misplayed sequences in the film. |

Yeah, having a woman who dresses up in a cat costume in a movie about a man who dresses up like a bat would destroy its credibility, so you need a giant half-man, half-alligator monster, or a guy made out of clay who can shape-shift in order to maintain a sense of realism.

I will be shocked if Killer Croc is one of the villains

If they go with Catwoman, we know Kate Beckinsale fills a tight leather outfit rather well. ;) |
re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Which movie is coming out first - Spiderman 4 or Batman 3?
Is it in the studios interest to have similar villains - Lizard and Killer Croc - in order to compete against each other (The Core versus Armagdeddon...Volcano versus Dante's Peak, for examples)? |
re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Will Sean Young finally get her chance?!?
|
re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I don't get why people keep bringing up Killer Croc. Of all the villains left to use I just can't realistically see him being a choice Nolan would make at all.

See: The Riddler. |

Because once a few fanboys start to nerdgasm over a villain it spirals out of control.
See: The Riddler. The Riddler isn't far fetched that it would be weird to insert into the Nolan Batman world. Croc is too far fetched. |

Agreed, but aside from the necessary use of The Joker (being the #1 villain and all), I tend to think Nolan will keep any previously-used villains out of his canon. He doesn't strike me as someone who likes to tread over worn ground.
I would imagine that Nolan would use whatever villain he felt helped tell the best story, regardless of whether it had been used in a previous movie. |

Derrrr, forgot about Two-Face. Regardless, I think Nolan will use someone we haven't seen before.

Solomon Grundy.
That is all. |
re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Unless some guy named Croc is human and has some fucked up skin via realistic terms and is a tough fucker will it happen. I can't see Croc in other form EXCEPT for that kind of extreme and that's still kinda keeping in tune w/ the comics.
|
re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Even if for some strange reason they were considering using him I really hope they don't. I always thought he was one of the weaker villains in Batman's rogues gallery.
