Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Yeah, he isn't ripped but he certainly isn't fat either. When I think fat, I think greater than 25% body fat. He looks to be upper teens. Abs begin to show in the lower teens. "Ripped" would be around 10% body fat.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
If that Bane is fat than I want to be fat.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
He's not ripped but he's definitely muscular. Looks like a power lifter's build. They're not toned but they're big and strong as hell.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
See even the villains are imperfect and oh so human that have human problems and limits too. Can't wait to see Bane holding his face hugger in front of him on his lap while he reflects through a window.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Yeah, went back to the Bronson build. He was ripped in Warrior, though, but this works for Bane.
It's fine. |

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Funny enough, Hardy's build in that shot reminds me of Bale's build in Batman Begins. I guess that's why they made Bale get even slimmer than he was in The Dark Knight.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
That'd make sense. Again...Bale was huge in BB.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Just a reminder (although you're all probably aware).... Advanced tickets go onsale today at 12pm EST

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Found out last night that my nearest Imax theater's Batman marathon will not be shown in Imax. :(
Also, it doesn't appear that tickets are available yet, at least for my local theaters. |
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Just purchased tickets for the midnight showing, I was tempted to purchase the Batman marathon for only $30, but wanted to experience TDKR in IMAX.
EDIT Glad I purchased it when it went up on sale, the IMAX midnight showing sold out in a hour. |
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
AMC site says that Imax viewings of the Trilogy haven't been decided yet.
Not sure whether to buy tickets now or wait and see if my local Imax gets this... |
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Yeah, I'll be waiting until my reserved seating six story screen gets it. I will accept no substitutions.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Not sure what is going on with my theater. Their site was down a good chunk of yesterday. They announced that tickets would be availabe through their site at noon (Central) today.. 12:20, still nothing.
The AMC theater which is just a little further away, as mentioned above, isn't sure if they'll be showing TDKR in IMAX... I think I read I can buy a marathon ticket and then upgrade at the box office later, but the theater is about 35-40 miles away, so, I'm not looking to make that trip just to upgrade my ticket, assuming they might be able to show it in IMAX. I wish this all could've been figured out before tickets went on sale. Also, my friend who is going with me isn't answering his texts about whether he wants to go to the non-IMAX marathon or just go to an IMAX midnight screening (my preference, at this point).:| |
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Yeah, there's some contractual issues with the IMAX screens. Besides the 70mm theatres, which would certainly not be running a marathon of three 2+ hour films for just one day (So Suprmallet can breathe easy), some IMAX screens have already been promised to just be showing midnights, and in some locations they're still trying to figure out would running the marathon in the IMAX be saddling the guest who just wants to see The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX with two flicks he/she doesn't need to see. So they're looking at previous marathons and gauging interest. There's no happy solutions, because even though the Avengers Marvel Movie Marathon was a HUGE success and made a lot of people happy, there were enough people complaining that they were "cheated" out of not seeing Avengers in IMAX at midnight that AMC is looking for a way to satisfy the most guests.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Just got my tickets for the only real IMAX in Orlando at 3:35 on Friday the 20th. Midnight was already sold-out. This might do better than people are predicting .
|
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Wow, my real IMAX tickets are already sold out for the midnight showing. I'm sure they will at a 3am one, though. I doubt I will see it at 3am, but you never know. Los Angeles has some bad ass eateries open around that time, so we'll have party at dawn. ;)

Were you planning on seeing it at midnight? The IMAX midnight showing at the Citywalk and Rave locations in LA were sold out back in January. However, both locations now have showtimes listed for weekend showings.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Tickets have been secured for Rave IMAX on the 21st.
That was intense. |
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I just got my IMAX tickets for the 20th at 7:20pm! Yay!
|
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Ok soooo when I go online. How do I tell if it's real IMAX?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I am on there. I just haven't searched for a real IMAX screen since TDK. Supermallet! WHERE ARE YOU?!
