Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I just can't see any studio authorizing the death of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Supposedly...he may be a Jimmy Costigan.
He's a rookie cop called John Blake. That's all we know aside from my reference to Costigan. |
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Excellent trailer. Looks like Batman and Bane duke it out a few times. Good to see more hand to hand fighting.

Yeah the logo looks really odd on an actual comic book.
The "DC bullet" logo is still best. Didn't realize this is also the new logo for the comics themselves. In that context, I can agree it sucks. |
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Boy, people are QUICK to copycat Bane. Breaking news on MSNBC:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
I'm refusing to see TDKR trailer until I go see the Avengers. I want to see to see it on the big screen first before I watch it on a crappy computer screen.
|
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Buy a better computer screen, just watched it in 1080p on my 106". ... of course it wasn't 7.1 and my 106" is 720p so I failed.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Saw it on my Ipad and thought it looked good. Bane is way more understandable, and intimidating I might add. I am curious as to what the movie explanation for Bane having it in for Batman will be , since the one in the comics isn't likely.
Question: wouldn't it be easier for Selina Kyle/Catwoman to fight if she had shorter hair or tied it in a pony tail or bun? I was kind of wondering about a similar situation in Iron Man 2 where Black Widow has her hair tied back until she goes into action, then it's down and flowing. Wouldn't this make fighting harder, since it would likely be falling into their faces? That's why women tend to tie it back or up whenever they work out or go jogging. |
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
OK, you peeps will have to forgive me, I haven't really dived into the spoilers for this thing yet but is that JGL in the Batman suit talking to Catwomen towards the end of this trailer. It doesn't sound like Bale and the chin could be different.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Damn, that trailer was much more serious and somber in tone than I was expecting. Vastly different than most films of this type. Almost plays like a drama ready for awards season. I'm not insanely hyped up over this one, but I'm very curious to see how Nolan wraps this up.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
that new trailer was breathtaking!

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
A certain winner, and Christopher Nolan knows that full well. I don't expect any slacking in the line of acting, top actors have been hand picked, and the action is certified A grade.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
ALso, the camo batmobiles are used by Bane, right?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
^ Just something cool for a preview I would imagine.
In terms of story, I am thinking we will be getting a somewhat altered version of Knightfall the way TDK was a variation on Killing Joke. |

his direction is fucking great and keeps getting better, wonderful to see that from a major director. Just wished TDK didn't have plot holes.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Amazing.
I'm really curious to see what Gordon-Levitt's role in this will be. Also, how the time-line is going to run. Does the movie start immediately 8 years in the future or what? I know that no one here really knows those answers but my mind is going wild after watching that trailer 3 times in a row. |
Re: The Dark Knight Rises (Nolan)
Finally get to see some Catwoman ass-kicking footage. Heels looked fine. lol
We've never seen Bale as Batman not talk with a growl in BB or TDK did we? WOuld like to compare if he did. |
